2 Weeks Post Op
Two weeks after surgery and most bruising is gone. There is still some under both eyes but able to cover with make up. My neck is also a bit bruised but fading. The left side of my bottom lip is pretty numb along with my chin. Doctor says feeling in my lip should return in a few weeks. He assured me all nerves are intact, they get stretched during the implant procedure and take time to adjust. The sensation is very odd. It’s numb, tingling and painful. Tylenol relieves the pain. But it’s difficult to drink from a straw. And cannot feel when this side touches a hot cup for example. The incisions behind my ear are painful if I lay on either side for too long. This makes sleeping a little difficult as I’m a side sleeper. The back of my neck feels stretched at times and also feel a burning sensation. Tylenol also relieves this. My nose is still swollen at the tip. Tip is hard and numb. But the tenderness is minimal. I continue taping my nose per my doctors orders. At present time, I feel like the chin implant and lower facelift are more involved in relation to recovery. Which I didn’t expect. I was so concentrated on my nose but that seemed to be less painful.

Day 1-2 after surgery
Surgery went well. Doctor was done in less time than was anticipated. Bc of this the surgery center gave me a check for $1600. I believe they charge by the hour and I had originally paid $9000.
I had lots of bruising and swelling. I was picked up by the Beverly Hills surgery aftercare center that was suggested by the doctor. They drove me to the Kimpton hotel were I was able to relax and eat a light meal. The room was a very nice suite and the nurse was very attentive. She kept track of all my medications and help change the dressing under my nose. The pain was well managed by the medication. I also had a drain behind the left ear. My nose was packed and I had a head wrap that was pretty uncomfortable as the night went on. I’m assuming bc of the swelling, the wrap felt tighter throughout the night. Sleeping was difficult as I had to breathe through my mouth and I maybe got 4 hours of sleep the first night and not consecutive. But overall I felt ok.
