9 months after revision rhino

Very dissappoiinted. I regret using steric Joseph. He rushed me through my consult and insisted he knew what I wanted. I clearly told him I hate sloped bridges and I wanted to keep my high bridge. I also Old hm I don’t want my tip rotated up. I just wanted the asymmetry corrected and he made it worse and COMPLETELY changed my Look. He uses silikon 1000 regularly with his rhinos they are his crutch. That’s a red flag there when u need filler free a surgery. Looking to correct his work with a rib graft . Wish me best of Luck . This has been a tragic nightmare

in the end what I think and how I feel is mostioortant. but I do want to add that NO ONE thinks my nose looks better than before. so I know I’m not being irrational.
I know. I feel you. No one thinks I look better now either. I'm with you girl.
How are you now dear friend? I hope you had your surgery and that everything went well. Blessings. Mylene
I'm going through something similar although, sadly I have much less nose left than you do. If it helps you are very very beautiful. I say this because losing my beauty has been extremely painful. Love to you. I'll follow this thread as I hope to one day get my columella back as well.
Hello,

I feel the same way you felt with your rhinoplasty. I just wanted to know if there was any updates? Did you successfully fix the issues? I really want a revision but I’m too scared.

Thank you.

Revision Rhinoplasty~ Dr Did not Listen. Nose Over Resected-Can I get My Before Nose Back ?

I had a Primary Rhinoplasty in 2006 it was closed and just a shave technique. I was very happy with it and wanted minimal change only a refinement. Over the years I ha few irregularities that I had been waiting to have addressed. I made the decision to have a revision done with Dr Joseph. June 26, 2017. I met with him and first thing I said to him was that I’d like to keep my ethnic look, my Greek nose. He laughed and said what does that even mean. He went on to say my nose looked like sausage. I was confused but as hecontinued to “sing” along his analysis of my nose to me. I told him I liked the height of my bridge and the width , I liked my columella if he could shorten it a little bit and that I’m interested in having the curve and asymmetry fixed. I told him I ABSOLUTELY HATE SLOPES. I asked for a refinement , a slightly smaller version of what I have.. I also expressed that I wanted my tip to still point down. Fast forward -after surgery as swelling gradually went away I was VERY Upset he had not listened at all to me. He Sloped my bridge. turned my tip up, I lost my beautiful columella and made my nose thinner. It took months to wait to see the results. It 4 weeks after the cat came of the bridge was very cracked and he injected silikon 1000 to fix this indent on my wall on the left side. Then as weeks went by the slope started to show itself I was sick to my stomach crying. This was absolutely NOT What i asked for. At my third visit I expressed concern that my bridge is looking curved and
I was completely disappointed and distraught. He recommended silikon 1000 to buildup my bridge and I was very unhappy with this approach for Many reasons. I am 6 months out in recovery . I hope it will get better. Can I have a third surgery to get back old look , raised bridge like before ?

Don’t use Silikon! It’s terrible. You can build the bridge but you will need Rib . At least that’s what o think looks best for the bridge. Ear looks clumpy and I personally don’t think septum is enough.
I'm sorry you're going through this - it sounds like you were very clear about wanting to maintain your ethnic look and avoid a slope. There are surgeons who can help restore features that are important to one's ethnicity. I'd be very wary of using silikon 1000. It would be best to find a surgeon who truly listens to you and does their best to implement changes to help you feel like yourself again.
Thank You for your Advice! Greatly Appreciate it
The more you look into Dr Joseph the more complaints there are, he seems to have a lot of fake reviews. I think your nose looks fine now, you're beautiful but I understand what you're saying about missing your higher bridge. I stupidly had surgery 7 months ago and have been regretting it ever since. I am thinking of having a revision as well but I also have nasal valve collapse. From what I have heard a rib graft surgery is very painful and the recovery isn't fun. You should look into a way to having a non surgical correction of your bridge but avoid Dr Joseph. I went to Dr Alexander Rivkin who helped me a lot but for my valve I need to have another surgery, I am sure you can find someone great on the east coast. Good luck
Thank you for your kind words and input . I’m sorrry for what u are having to go throw .. I will look up ur profile do u have any photos posted of the process? I hope and wish you best of Luck with ur future surgeries
Thank you I appreciate it. I haven't posted any pictures yet. I am seeing doctors now about a revision. I have narrowed it down to a few doctors. I had looked into going to Dallas because two of the best revision surgeons are there but I think I am going to stay local as CA has a lot of good ones.
keep me posted ! Best of Luck to you!
I will for sure, thank you :) Best of luck to you too.
I've had two revision rhinoplasties with surgeons in Beverly Hills (one of the two has an office in OC). I would argue that there are NOT many good, trustworthy plastic surgeons out here in the LA area with the skills to do a revision rhinoplasty. I recommend keeping your options open and maybe going outside of California for a revision rhino.
Hi, Thanks for your message. I have heard that Dr Mayer in BH and Dr John Hilinski in SD are really good. I was also looking into seeing Dr Pearlman in NY. I'm 100% open to travel outside of CA for the right doctor.
You can get the bridge built up with cartilage grafting. IMHO I would wait a few years & let any and all other possible defects show up first without any filler chasing problem areas. Leave some time for any dent or pinching or breathing issue or nostril problems show up before you have a major revision. With luck the bridge will end up being the only area you question. I can’t tell from your description but if you have never had grafting or septoplasty before you may still have intact septal cartilage to use. I had my bridge built up a lot for similar reasons, low flat bridge didn’t suit my face type.
wow that’s great advice- thank you ! would u mind sharing ur before and after photos ? please dm if so!
I just PM’d you just the side view showing the raised bridge. I don’t want to post a review, the pics aren’t anon
I totally identify with everything you’ve said exactly the same happened to me. My looks are ruined. This operation completely changed how I was and how I looked. Finesse I asked for I got a botch the middle of my nose is missing it’s truly horrifying to see it materialise before your eyes. I can not bear looking in the mirror anymore it aged me and I have zero confidence. I like you need my bridge built back up. Would like to add though you are an atttactive lady still however I know precisely what you mean as I feel the same. Good luck keep us posted xx
thank you
