one year update
WORTH IT
hello everyone! thought i'd drop by & give a little update. still lovin' the new nose. i fall more in love with it everyday. it's crazy it's been a year already. swelling has gone down significantly. i was suppose to go see Dr. Griffin back in December but i've been avoiding going anywhere unless i absolutely have to because of covid. i plan on going to see him soon though! can't wait to show him my nose! i appreciate everyone's support & kind words! will have to post more pictures soon! x

Someone asked for a profile view of my nose. My profile wasn't terrible but you can tell the tip angled down slightly. I use to have a large bump on my nose that was removed by my previous surgeon. Although he did get rid of the bump, I was still unsatisfied with my nose. Dr. Griffin gave me a more appealing profile.

Hello, are you still happy with your results? Considering this doctor
i’m very happy (:
Hi there! Would you be comfortable saying how much this cost? I am having a consult with Dr G soon and I'll be having a revision septoplasty/rhinoplasty. Curious on the total cost and if insurance covered any for you. Thanks!
Never mind-I see you commented on that on your other picture :)
oh okay! yeah like i said, it was around 9,600. not sure how much just the nose portion costed though. my insurance did cover a little part of it because i had a severe deviated septum. (:
Awesome! I do too. That's good to know! Thank you :):)
Did dr G use any rib grafts for you?
no he didn't.
How are you doing? Your nose is incredibly improved! Do you have updated photos you could share?
hi! sorry for such a late reply. i’m doing great! still in love with my nose (: i’ll have to find some photos to post for sure!
You look fantastic! What gorgeous results! I'm looking into a revision rhinoplasty (my second revision). Do you know if Dr. Griffin used any grafts? If so, what were they made from? Thank you!
Thank you so much! No he did not use grafts (:
Wow! That's amazing. Did you already have grafts in your nose? I recently got a reply from Dr. Griffin after he looked at my photos. I'm going to call tomorrow to set up an appointment to virtually consult with him. Thank you!
Nope! No grafts were ever used (: That’s exciting! You’ll have to let me know how it went! (:
Virtual consultation scheduled for January 20! I'll keep you posted! :-)
How did Dr. Griffin fix your nose without grafts? Sorry if it's an ignorant question. My consultation is tomorrow.
i honestly have no idea! haha. grafts are made from cartilage from behind the ears or from your ribs right? if so, then yeah, he definitely didn’t use grafts. lol. good luck tomorrow! (: let me know how it goes!
It went well but I think spreader grafts have made my nose wide and Dr. Griffin routinely uses spreader grafts. Whereas I had a consultation recently with Nima Shemirani who stopped using spreader grafts routinely and would remove them from my nose completely. Are you still happy with your nose? Would you be willing to share updated photos? Thank you! P.S. Grafts are usually made from your own septal cartilage unless you don't have any left and then ear and/or rib is used. If you look on your operative report it'll say.
Any updated pics? I have surgery with him in early April! So excited!
Any updates? Maddy, are you still happy? Luna, you have surgery scheduled? Hooray! All the best to you!
Update - you had asked me if he used any grafts. i just saw him today & he said he DID indeed use grafts from inside my nose. i was under the impression that grafts were only from the rib or cartilage behind the ear. sorry for the confusion!

Dr. Griffin is a True Artist
Dr. Griffin is a true artist and is amazing at what he does! He performed a revision rhinoplasty and a chin implant on me back in February. I was left with a botched nose job a few years back by a different surgeon and my nose ended up looking way worse than before surgery. I hated looking in the mirror. I finally decided to get my nose fixed. I did my research and found Dr. Griffin and boy am I glad. He not only fixed the appearance of my nose but i can now breathe much better! I am so grateful for Dr. Griffin and his staff. They were all very professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I love my new nose! I would definitely recommend Dr. Griffin!

I forgot to ask what he charged for the revision. I need a revision but I am in Canada and waiting for the borders to open up. It would only be about an 8 hour drive to Minneapolis. I dont feel safe flying while covid is around.
well i got both a chin implant and a nose job. my total cost was around 9,600. if your doing just a nose job it will probably be a little less. he was more than my previous surgeon but it was worth every penny. dr. griffin knows what he is doing!

I was going to ask if you had one nostril smaller prior to this new revision like one looks smaller n one looks larger ?
yes. before my first rhinoplasty a few years ago, my nostrils were even. i went in to get rid of the bump on my nose. that's it. he botched my tip and left my nostrils very uneven. as you can see in the photos. dr. griffin was able to fix them and they are now the same size! (:
well i should say, it wasn't necessarily my nostrils that were the issue. it was my tip that kept drooping down. my previous surgeon didn't stitch me up correctly causing my tip to droop over the years.
May I ask who the surgeon was that performed your initial rhinoplasty procedure?
Looks amazing I was considering this doctor!
thank you! you should definitely go with him!! (:
I wanted to ask if he used rib on you?
no he did not.
that's really good wow. Did he use fascia? Taken from behind the head or just nose? Thanks
thank you! you should definitely go with him!! (:
Please post more pics in the next few weeks! :) thank you

I had a consult yesterday for a revision and the Dr wants to use ear cartilage to extend and fix the tip. I'm not too keen on having a longer nose.
Was your tip fixed using cartilage of some sort?
