Disappointment and Distress

It saddens me to write this but I believe in being truthful to others that want to undergo painful surgery that costs thousands of dollars for improvement. Although surgery is a risk and never guaranteed exact results, you still expect to come out looking a little better than you went in. I read all of these reviews of how great the staff at Dr Torkian’s office is and I agree 100% (reason for the 2 stars) but is that what you want to pay for? I appreciate that Dr Torkian has continued to see me for up to 4 years, as I drove 40 min to LA in traffic, take the steroid injections and hear it’s getting better and we are closer to my desired look only for me to realize one day that my nose is not gonna be what I want. Dr Torkian is great at giving you natural looking results... but thousands to give you same look with the same issues is every patients heartbreak. He told me every visit that it’s unfortunate that you have thick skin. My nose is large on one side of the tip and the bridge bone is not shaved down far enough on one side causing a curved, unnatural looking balance to my face. All of my photos remind me of this mistake so I now run from photos.

Everyone that knows of my surgery has told me, “ you should’ve done more research on the Dr but don’t let it ruin you, you’re still so beautiful” that makes me feel a little better but not what you expect to hear. You want to hear wow your dr did a great job! What’s his number.

When choosing your surgeon make sure you are completely clear and on the same page. Do your research thoroughly and not allow a friendly staff to convince you the surgeon is the one. Now because there is no guarantee and we sign a paper stating we agree to the risk, I have to look in the mirror at the thousands of dollars spent and the pain I went through that didn’t help. On a positive note, I’m now looking forward to meeting a new revision surgeon for rhinoplasty. These review boards are our only platform to getting our experiences heard so I hope this will help someone. Best of luck.

If this doctor says you have thick skin or ethnic skin, buyer beware. I’ve looked at several photos and read of credentials and as a patient with experience, this is my testimony I did not have a good experience with the outcome. This doctor is rated top rhinoplasty.
Buyer beware

This photo speaks for itself. This is what $10,000 gave me from choosing a great staff over Dr experience. Like other bad reviews noted don’t go by how nice the staff is, that’s not what you’re paying for.

Dr Torkian has not once offered to help correct this and if you ask be ready to pay another $8,000- $10,000.
