Consultation Appointment with dr Saban Celebi

I just want to mention in the beginning that I didn’t proceed with the surgery with Dr. Saban Celebi and this is a review only based on consultation appointment. Also, I need to mention that I usually don’t leave reviews unless something is really good or really bad.
First of all, when I contacted dr. the response was always good and on time. Only that they said dr is too busy and doesn’t do phone consultation. I had detailed questions about my revision rhinoplasty and the response was always yes! I sent pictures and I was told what I want is no problem as dr saw my pictures and he said no problem depending on my skin type I can have the ideal results.
To cut the story short I paid deposit fee $360 immediately and for weeks I was told the deposit was not received. I went to bank several times till my bank contacted the bank in Turkey to confirm that it was received long time ago! After I sent the receipt I was told yes, because the amount was in dollars they didn’t recognize! Even though I had put my name and surgery date! As a result, I missed good deals for hotel and flight as I waited till they confirmed the payment. I asked again if he could do a barbie nose job for me and I was assured that it would be possible. The day I went to see dr. I was greeted at the door. They brought water and asked some questions. They took pictures for profile photoshop. Dr. Was sitting down retouching my pictures!
He showed me 3 options one worse than the other! I showed a picture of a barbie nose saying I came for this and I was told it would be possible. The translator jumped in the middle saying every one is different so if I were you I wouldn’t ask for a specific nose! This translator was the same person who was messaging me on the phone assuring me that I can have a barbie nose! I said ok but what percentage do you think you can make it similar to the one I like ? The answer was I will do my best but it will not be similar or even close what you want. He examined my nose and he said he is not sure what is wrong with my breathing unless he opens it on the day of surgery so he can’t make any comments!
Also, I had asked for a lip lift at the same time and he said the ugliest scar is lip lift scar so he wouldn’t recommend!!!!! Later, he made some sarcastic comments about my requests. He also made fun of nose pictures I had printed that I liked. I also showed him some noses that I didn’t like and apparently he got upset because some of them were his work! I saw he was upset so I said they are nice noses only that they are too natural and I don’t want natural. In addition, I said when I smile my nose opens up too much and he said he will not do anything about that because then I can’t smile and in addition he will not touch my scar on the nostril!
At this point I told myself that I will not go under his hands but at the same time I was undecided because I had spent all the time and money to go there. I signed the papers just in case I do surgery and left . I felt so disappointed and sad. Saying I can’t do a good job on your nose is something I heard from a lot of drs on the phone which was ok but traveling to the other side of planet just to get humiliated like this was something else. He was not nice at all.
The day before surgery when translator(Marve) contacted me I told her that I was having a panic attack and I wanted to cancel. She was pretending that everything was ok! She said dr wants to see you again and dr is feeling bad for you. He would meet you any where you want even he will come and talk to you at your hotel! I said what changed as he said many times I will not be happy with his surgery! She said there is a misunderstanding and I took a taxi to go to hospital that afternoon to see him again which was another mistake! I went there and same story!
He was nice this time . He had smile on his face! 3 pictures were photoshopped with horrible noses again. And he went on and on about how he did this for 26 years and he is the best dr in Turkey but he admitted that he ruined some noses! Very strange ! He mentioned pig nose and Pinocchio noses several times! I felt numb. I gave blood and pcr for test. My friend from Los Angeles freaked out when I told him what happened and he said please run they will make a pig nose.
The night before surgery date I didn’t sleep I kept looking at Instagram nose pictures and cried. Among them I saw the worse nose ever that was turned into the most beautiful nose! In the morning I felt so sick sore throat, fever, everything! I messaged dr saying I have a fever . They still said I go there so dr examines me! I said May be it is covid I am not coming. Next day I felt better and I contacted the number on Instagram account for the new dr. (Dr.Harun Acipayam) and Bingo. I hit the jackpot. They were so nice. Dr did FaceTime and I showed him my nose and he said he would perform everything with satisfaction guarantee above 85 percent. He even mentioned that he would fix my smile problem which I didn’t hear from any dr. before. Immediately, I booked my flight to Antalya. I had paid for hotel in Istanbul but who cares I found a perfect dr.
I was supposed to send a deposit for hospital reservation but I could not and they were so friendly that they said they would pay the deposit. No problem. Today I can say that the result turned much better than what I expected. I should say I saw two extreme sides for two different drs. I love the results of surgery and dr. Acipayam went out of his way making sure that he knew what I wanted. He is a very professional dr. The best I saw in my lifetime. The price was lower and I was treated so nicely. Above all, dr. keeps in touch to make sure I am ok. He sent me videos about massaging my nose to make it look better besides giving me two free nose retainers. Also, my lip lift looks fantastic and I already get a lot of compliments.
I had a pleasure to meet his wife dr Sermin Feliz who performed botox on me. I should say I did botox for years but she paid so much attention that the results are much better than before. After performing botox, I mentioned that I could not chew like usual because I was worried it would harm my lips and dr Acipayam was so kind to take us to the best restaurant in Antalya. He personally made sure I could chew and eat. Even, he told the waiter that he wanted the best food so he could make sure his patient was ok. The food was delicious and at the end we wanted to invite drs to express our gratitude but to our surprise he had already paid!! I am still wondering how lucky I am. My nose job and lip lift were both magical and this was the first time in my life that I saw drs that really care . Unbelievable and magical.
