3rd time's a charm! 16 months post-op & it's just a normal, beautiful nose

Third Time's a Charm

WORTH IT
I've had a long and complicated history with my nose. At the age of 18 I had a botched nose job from a renowned plastic surgeon in NYC (a male, who is still in practice today sadly). The experience was so horrible that it took me 10 years to get it fixed. While the results from the revision were an improvement from the botch job I had originally, my nose was far from ideal; the tip, a bit too raised and the overall nose, completely curved with a long, hanging columella that touched my lips when I smiled. By this time in my life, I was getting married and having kids though, so I figured I would just deal with it and stop striving for perfection.

But as the years went on, the insecurities I had about my nose just kept popping up; I would spend hours trying to contour it with makeup daily to make it look straight and "normal" or obsess over photos of myself and then feel terrible. I decided to give it one more shot and thankfully found Dr. Liotta! I worried that a 3rd nose job would mean my nose would cave in or I would end up looking like Michal Jackson (LOL) but Dr. Liotta works on complicated revision cases all of the time and I felt confident in her hands. She made herself accessible to me by giving me her real-life phone number...I was able to text or call whenever I had a question. Who does that nowadays!?

The day I came home from surgery, I could tell even with a cast on that this time was very different...the hanging columella was gone! The pain and swelling were very minimal. From then on, every month my nose continued to improve. It's been 16 months since my surgery and I am proud to report that I barely think of my nose anymore...I don't contour it when I am doing makeup, I don't worry that I look like a surgery freak in pictures. It's just a normal, beautiful nose! And honestly, after all I have been through with this, that is priceless. My nose journey is officially done now, and I have Dr. Liotta to thank for that. If you have the opportunity to work with her, you are truly blessed because she is probably one of the most gifted plastic surgeons of our time.
