Update to texture and pigment
I continue with retin a , micro-needling on the deepest scars, Pycnogenol and included at the beginning on 2020 A 313 for the in-between days of retin a. it seems to make my skin softer than retin a. a bit more hydrating. The texture seems thick and oily but , water or toner after application and it smooths in easily. I switched from Cosrx cleanser to Softymo Jose oil cleanser. This is gentle and removes SPF. My freckles and spider veins were improved with a lazer mole pen.
March 2020 update
My skin keeps improving. I love to see the clarity and evenness coming through. Im 49 next month. I focus on needling the uneven red marks that have lasted yrs and hydration. Im over a yr into retin a and added A 313 as well for days in between retin a to avoid irritation. I switched from cosrx good morning cleanser which has tea tree oil that might have encouraged dryness. To Softymo Kose oil cleanser. Its gentle unscented and works fine to remove spf.
Pore Improvement
I continue to use Retin -A along with niacinamide, alpha arbutin,Vit c , secret key toner ( K skins)and Pycogenol oil from The ordinary along with a 4 month 1.5 micro needling and more often .05 needling. I still have some blotchy color ,but the rough texture is very much improved and the freckling is less. The pores are still visible but, not the orange peel look.And I think the addition of Pycogenol may be helping them with inflamation and antioxidation. So, Im happy. I think with diligent spf and hydration my skin will continue to clarify.
