Eye bag & filler bump after under eye fillers for hollowness

ORIGINAL POST

Fillers Are Not for Everyone

Had a consultation for upper and lower blepharoplasty which cost $250. I was told I'm a good candidate for surgery (upper lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer $11,500) or fillers. I decided to try under eye fillers for $1,250 The fillers didn't help with the under eye hollowness and after a few months under one eye the filler moved and formed a noticeable bump under the eye. So I had an eye bag and a filler bump. Contacted the office was told to press the filler with a Q-tip for a few days then if that didn't work the filler could be taken down a bit. Didn't want to pay an additional fee to reduce the filler and I wasn't happy with being sold something that didn't work, so I went to another occuloplastic surgeon in Manhattan.

If filler is challenging for under the eye and not intended for eye bags/fat pad why would doctor offer fillers? If was intended for hollowness seems that didn’t work out either. Would think doctor would see patient first before instructing them to self fix with a Q-tip.
