Botched and lied to

TL:DR I spent $5k with Dr Michele Green on hyaluronidase, thermage, and undereye filler and all I got was a black eye that lasted 4 months. Not one thing she did was done correctly or had any positive effect.

I should have written this last year but I think I was just so relieved it was over that I put it out of my mind. It was only finding a bag full of all the concealers I had to use that made me decide I had to tell other potential clients of Michele Green what happened.

I went to Michele Green for a consult in May of 2023. The consult, which lasted less than 5 minutes, led her to recommend thermage for my face and neck. She made sure to tell me how botched the fillers I had were, which there didn’t seem to be any reason to say but whatever. I asked about dissolving some of my nasolabial fold filler so she injected the spot with hyaluronidase, I paid a deposit for half the thermage and made my appointment for June 6th.

I come back on June 6th for thermage and ask if she knew why there was no difference from the filler dissolver. She said there was a difference and it looked a lot better. I knew that wasn’t true but moved on to doing the thermage. It was incredibly painful but I thought it would be worth it.

Two weeks later on the 19th I went back in to ask about undereye fillers. I already had them done a year back but they’d worn off and I wanted more. Again she told me how botched I was and how terrible the fillers I had looked but she could put more in to make it look better. I went for it. The bruising was crazy. I’ve been getting fillers for years and had never experienced anything like that. Two weeks later was my birthday and I was still terribly bruised under one eye. I tried to cover it but it was impossible to disguise. Another few weeks went by and I realized it wasn’t going away. I bought concealers and color correctors to try to cover the blue bruise under my eye but as soon as I went in the sun, it was visible. On August 10th I inquired about getting the doctor to look at it because I was getting scared that I would never go back to normal. She couldn’t see me till August 30th and when she did, she said it was healing. She made me feel like I wasn’t being patient enough but I don’t believe anyone would get fillers if it meant having a black eye for months. I did some googling and found out about the Tyndall effect. When fillers are injected too superficially there can be a bluish tint to the skin. I waited another month to be certain then booked an appointment to have it dissolved. When I came in, I also asked about the thermage and why I hadn’t seen any results. She told me it had only been four months and you don’t see any results till five months. Again, untrue and again making me feel as though I’m just not patient enough. I got the filler dissolved which for some reason resulted in crazy bruising but once that healed, the black eye I’d lived with for 4 months was finally gone.

I ended up going to another doctor to get my nasolabial fold filler dissolved and it worked this time and cost 1/3 of what Dr Green charged me. Results from Thermage never appeared. I went to another doctor to have my undereyes redone. It cost less and was done correctly. So for the $5000 I spent with Dr Michele Green on hyaluronidase, thermage, and undereye filler, I got nothing but a 4 month black eye. Not one thing she did was done correctly or had any positive effect. I am not a rich person and $5k was a lot for me.

I wish I had chosen any other doctor. Her SEO is so good that she shows up in every google search and I really believed she was the right doctor for me. I should have taken her horrible beside manner as a red flag from the start. There’s much better doctors in the city. Honestly, a shady medspa would have probably done better than her for half the price. What a waste.
