I 've talked about getting the skin on my upper eyelids removed for the last 10 years. I was finally motivated for my daughter's wedding this year. I ended up having both my upper and lower eyelids done plus my own fat removed from my stomach to my cheeks. I went home the same day from the hospital. I didn't have any pain and only took tylenol to sleep. I started icing right away. Found that liquid dish soap in double sandwich bags frozen were able to shape to my face better than anything else. Dr. Kulak called my husband later in the day to see how I was doing. I was able to sleep with 3 pillows and safety glasses on my back comfortably. Next day still had no pain but red around my eyes. You could see the upper stitches and bruising in my cheeks. I kept icing until I had my upper eyelid stiches out 6 days later. I then switched to heat .My worst swelling was around day 5 but just kept icing. I am now 17 days from my surgery and very happy with the results. Dr. Kulak is an artist !

Were there additional procedures done or was 13k for eyes only? Thank you, glad it turned out well.m

I also had fat removed from my stomach and put in my cheeks, corners of my mouth and outer corner of my eyes.

Upper, lower bleph and fat transfer to cheeks and no lift seems a little steep price wise (to me.) but it's all irrevalant if you are happy with the outcome.

Glad your surgery went well - happy healing, Thanks for the tip about the frozen dish soap. I also found that a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water in zip lok baggie make for good "slushie" ice pack. The trick is not to over ice and end up with frost bite which apparently happens on a regular basis. My PT coordinator told me not to use ice but cool packs and never put directly on skin.
