Renuvion instead of a neck lift - Local Anesthesia

ORIGINAL POST

Renuvion to Avoid a Neck Lift - Local Anesthesia

WORTH IT$3,000
I was tired of my double chin and saggy neck. After trying Coolsculpting and Ultherapy for this - with no results - I decided to bite the bullet.

Met with five or six board certified surgeons in town and out of town. Most were FACS. Some said lipo and Facetite, some said necklift. Then it veered into lower facelift-it’s easy to get carried away chasing vanity.

One doctor (the oldest one, who has been well respected for innovation) suggested Renuvion, which none of the other docs had heard of.

After watching a youtube clip of a neck lift there was no way in hell I was doing that. Also nervous about being put under, so I preferred local anesthesia.

Did all of my research on the options. Thought it over for months and months, decided to go with the doctor who I felt most comfortable with and who had the most experience. The one who suggested Renuvion and lipo.

The procedure was fine, healing was okay. No other pain that a few days of meds couldn’t handle.

I was very freaked out by the bruising and swelling, it seemed to take longer than most reviewers said it would to go down. Then I had shooting pain in my salivary gland for 2-3 days, and my lymph nodes were swollen. .

Really started worrying that I mistake. What if I did permanent damage, or it looks worse than before?

Then one day - months later - it was fine. It looked good. (light lymphatic massage helped). The only problem is that my neck looks a little “off” now. Probably stuff no one but me would notice-one side got a bit more fat sucked out than the other. My neck looks weird when I tilt my head up-a small puckery wrinkle appears. And I now have platysmal bands that are visible-not sure if that’s from lipo or Renuvion. Maybe they were already showing up and were hidden under my neck fat?

So I’m not self conscious about the double chin any more, but I am aware of the fact that my neck has new flaws.

Wear the garment as much as possible. And get the foam inserts to help give extra compression.

Don’t waste time on gimmicky (and dangerous) nonsurgical stuff like Ultherapy. If you are in a similar situation just get the lipo (if you do it early enough you may not need the tightening or Renuvion).

If I could do it over I probably would try harder to exercise and eat less carbs to see if that fixed it.

But if that didn’t work I would have skipped right to the lipo and Renuvion. Just keep in mind it’s not as simple to have these procedures as some people claim. There are risks, and there will be downtime before you see the difference.

Hi! I had neck lipo and Renuvion about 5 and a half weeks ago. The first few weeks were ok besides numbness and some swelling but then the hardness, tightness and some lumpiness set in after 3 weeks. Dr. said it was all normal since he took out a lot of fat and I had the Renuvion and just to massage my neck and lumps. They have softened, but I’m concerned about one larger one under my chin and have minor pains that shoot down the sides of my neck and so much tightness and pulling sensation! Anyway, after reading your review I feel better that it might just take longer to recover than what I thought!
