Before surgery I was unable to breathe through my nose without Afrin during the day and Afrin and a Nozovent at night. I had a septoplasty in 1990, then got injured immediately after. In 1991 I had a septoplasty/rhinoplasty. After that surgery my nose experienced several more traumas. Neither previous surgery produced a positive result and my ability to breathe has been getting worse over the past 25 years. At the point of this most recent surgery, it was like living every day with a severe sinus infection.
Now... WOW! I can breathe and smell. I've even been sick. That's not remarkable. However, having a cold, a fever of 101.5, and still breathing and feeling better than a typical day before surgery - that is!
Dr. Waterman and his team did a wonderful job. I am incredibly grateful!
