Wonderful experience. I just had upper bleph surgery three days ago. Dr. McKevitt is so nice and highly qualified. I barely felt a thing. The procedure was not uncomfortable. It only took about 45 minutes. It has only been three days and I’m already so pleased with the results. Very excited about my younger looking eye lids!!!

Why is this better than the newer laser technique??
February 3, 2019
Hi! I’m not really sure what you mean by the newer laser technique? I needed skin removed from the lid which required surgery.

Laser does not lift your eyelids. I tried it and it was a waste of time and money. This is your best route to go!

You look great! This is something I'm so interested in. My upper kids are dropping and it's driving me crazy

Here are a couple of photographs. One is a before shot, and one photo was taken on Day 3. I have had minimal swelling and bruising, and little to no pain. You definitely need to ice round the clock for two days and sleep sitting up. Sutures are coming out in three days. I’ll take another photo then. Except for the distress caused by the forced inactivity (it’s a challenge when you are used to exercising daily), this is a piece a cake.

When you say " ice around the clock" what do you mean? Gauze soaked in ice water? or what? thanks, I am having my eye surgery on Feb 14.

Hi! I used small light weight soft ice gel packs that are for eyes. I would apply gently every hour or so for ten minutes during the day and then every couple hours at night just for the first night. You don’t want to apply any pressure. Maybe it was overkill, but I didn’t have much swelling at all so the icing could be the explanation. I also slept upright on pillows the first night. Good luck!

Here are some updated pics 3 months post surgery. I am extremely pleased with the results! I’ve had no problems whatsoever. I think the before and after photos demonstrate an appreciable improvement to the dreaded droopiness. Thank you, Dr. McKevitt!
