I recently had a full anchor breast lift and wanted to also get implants. I am getting allergan silicone implants, and right now they are running a special that when you get silicone they give you and a friend either 25 units of botox each or 1 kit of Latisse each. Since I am 22 I decided to decline the botox. I never really had an interest to try Latisse until he told me about it. After I started looking at before and afters on here I got so excited to start I ordered some last night! I found a website that you do an online consult and a doctor on their end writes a script for you and you order through them. I got 2 kits for $160 with shipping, and the company is an approved distributor with allergan. I will take before and afters soon :)

I got my Latisse in the mail today!! :) I have read a lot of surgeons input on RealSelf about ways to make Latisse last longer, and I read it is better to apply it with an eye liner brush and just washing the brush after each use.
I used Latisse for the first time, I dropped one drop into the lid and placed the brush into it and let it absorb all of the medication. This makes latisse last 2x as long as regular since the standard way of use is to use one drop on each eye every night.
I will post weekly or bi-weekly photos of my progress :)

Glad to hear the first week is going well - hopefully gorgeous, long lashes are in the near future! Keep us updated please!
I made a HUGE MISTAKE and had eyelash extensions put on my already long and full lashes...
When the extensions came off, so did half of my real lashes... : (
I purchased Latisse to try to get my lashes to grow back as soon as possible.
today is 3/6/12 - week 3 and my lashes are starting to look a little fuller. Crossing my fingers i grow my lashes back!!
Oh no!! I haven't known anyone who has had the extensions done. Do lashes usually come off when they are removed, or was this just a very unfortunate incident that happened to you?

I didn't even know promotions like that (for Botox/Latisse) existed! So who did you select for you friend to get the trial? I bet they love you!!

I find overall the 'advertising' regarding an eelash enhancer by 'allergen overboard...more to promote the surgeon????...a choice of botox or eyelash serum as free gift????....this is surgery!!!!...personally i would separate surgery & serum as putting the 2 together is absolutely bizarre...no relevance at all...cheap tactics and gimmick...buy a procedure?...receive gift?....someones promoting a company & a surgeon...if there is one..al for eyelash enhancer...go buy the product...beautiful eyelashes aint gonna help you recover from surgery..shallow minded...gimmick
I can see why you would think that way, but they both have to do with beauty enhancement, and both are elective, so I can see a relationship between the two there.
Overall, we know the companies making these products are just that, companies. Of course they are going to look for ways to cross promote. I can understand how it might upset some though, as they would expect a different set of rules from a company affiliated with the medical profession...but like I said, in the end they are still a company.
I don't know, if it were me & I got a free thing of botox or latisse with a procedure I was going to have done anyways I'd be all for it. Who doesn't like free stuff, even if it is a little gimmicky?
