I have gained so much help from the Real Self...

I have gained so much help from the Real Self website during my research prior to my surgery, so I decided to document my experience in the hopes to help others like me! I am 25 years old and for much of my life have been very thin. 115-120 pounds. However throughout my 5 years in college and nursing school I gained a great deal of weight. When I graduated nursing school I was around 215 pounds. I am now 150-155 pounds (depending on the day) and feeling so much better! I always kind of wanted big, perky, fake boobs but never got serious about it. However, after the weight loss I have been hating my boobs. I had a consultation with a highly recommended doctor where I live and she told me I could use a lift as well as implants to get the ideal look that I wanted. I also have a minor chest wall deformity and some boob asymmetry so she said all of this combined with my weight loss makes the lift pretty essential for the best outcome. I was initially pretty sad about it, and worried about the scars. However, after thinking a lot about it I came to the conclusion that a scar that will likely heal well is the price I'll pay for having full and pretty boobs!
My surgery day is tomorrow (yikes!) so I'm definitely starting to get nervous. I just hope that it all goes well and that I receive the outcome I'm hoping for.
I'm attaching my before pictures and some wish pictures in this post. Hopefully if I'm feeling up to it tomorrow, I'll post about how the surgery went.
Here's to new boobs and renewed confidence!

I'm wondering what your PS said about putting the piercings back in? I really don't want to loose mine!

Hey there! So since I got a lift my PS didn't want to put them back in immediately after surgery which I hear some PS will do if they are doing only an augmentation. She said she wanted me to wait to put them back in until my incisions around my nipples were healed....well, within like a day or two those things closed up (I'm not surprised!) so I will I unfortunately have to get them redone if I want them again! If you are solely getting an augmentation see if your PS will put them back in right after surgery! If you're getting a lift too they may ask you to wait. Of course it's different from PS to PS so go with your PS advice over anyone else's!

Thank you so much for the advice! I have pre on the 16th and 17th so I'll see what he's got to say. You're looking great by the way!!! Wonderful results! Happy continued healing!

Hi there. You look amazing and thank you for sharing! I'm thinking about going with your PS for a lift and implant. Would you mind sharing what implant you went with?

Today was the day!! I was feeling so nervous before the procedure, but once Dr. McCormack came in to draw on me and talk to me before she took me in, my mind was at ease. She and her staff were all absolutely amazing. I am so thankful I chose her!

Initially after the surgery I was feeling pretty good. My recovery nurse Shannon was so sweet and really helpful. Once I was cleared to go, my boyfriend took me out to his car. On the way out I was feeling pretty dizzy and then starting feeling sick. I am already a pretty nauseous person, and even worse in cars. Needless to say, the ride home was pretty rough! I didn't actually puke, but there was some serious close calls (haha!)

I got home and got into bed and took a small nap. I just woke up and am feeling pretty good. Dr. McCormack has already called to check in on me. She's amazing! So far, I'm feeling happy with how everything has went.

Also, I was looking at my card for my implants and was seriously shocked by the size difference! I knew I was asymmetrical but holy cow this was worse than I thought! Haha. She placed a 520 implant in the right side (my smaller one) and 345 in the left!!! Like....what?!?! Seriously can't believe I was the different in size haha.

Hopefully the rest of the night goes well, I'll update tomorrow at some point after I have my post op appointment!

Today has gone pretty well. Aside from being pretty sore and tight I have really no pain! I've only been taking Tylenol right now, which makes me happy because the Percocet makes me nauseous.

I had my first post op appointment and the nurse said everything is looking good. Can't wait to shower....like 3 days from now!! That'll be hard to wait that long.

I've been pretty capable of moving around and doing things on my own today, but now I'm sitting down and I'm exhausted haha I hope I didn't over do it. It's definitely time for a nap though.
