WORTH IT
I went thru my TT on June 3, 2013 in Regina SK with Dr Souf
The day of surgery was pretty uneventful, showed up at the surgical center for 10am and went into surgery 1130. was in post op by 315 and back home (45 min away) by 515.
Days 1-3 were the worst in relation to pain, but it was very manageable with taking two T3's every 4 hours. By day 4 I felt pretty good and was not exhausted just making it to the bathroom!!! Day 5 I ventured out of my house with a trip downtown and Day 7 I actually made a trip back to Regina to see my surgeon. He advised that things went great and he was very happy with the results. I am a lovely shade of green/blue/purple and my new belly button kinds resembles a blood dot!!! But the flab is gone, my stomach is flat and I think once the swelling goes down it will look great.
I have had 4 c-sections and a hysterectomy and find the pain in relation to the TT not much, if any, worse than what I had with the prior surgeries. I am wearing a compression binder and it helps support wise. I did have 2 drains which was removed by home care on day 2.
All in all not a bad thing to say!! I am pleased to find this surgery went quite well and that I am feeling pretty darn good!
If you have any questions I will happily answer!
Good luck to anyone going thru the procedure...it is worth the recovery time for sure!
