Hi Real Self friends,
So I've been debating on Lipo suction for my tummy for the past couple of years and I have finally decided to do it along with fat transfer to the breast. I'm excited but super nervous!! Also, I've seen 4 doctors and they all recommended that I have a tummy tuck but I have decided against it. I know my result won't be a flat, tight stomach but I'm really hoping I'll feel better after the procedure. I'm having Lipo to the upper and lower abs, flanks and bra roll.
I had my pre-op today and am scheduled for Feb 25th.... Fingers crossed!!!
I'll be posting post op pics in about 10 days!!!

Good luck. I am 40 as well and did the same procedure on Feb 8th. Too early to predict results but I also decided against tummy tuck. My stretch marks were flattened and not very noticeable IMO. Obviously there is still a bunch of swelling but 8 days post op I'm happy with the results and glad I did this route vs implants. One word of caution make sure whichever form of garment they give you for post op fits. Mine was too tight and I waited 6 days to get a bigger one. Big mistake. When they say stay in bed and lounge around, listen. You will swell up if you try and push it, believe me. Good luck

I am having mine tomorrow. My Dr is taking a lil of the excess skin from my lower abdomen. I have alot of stretch marks so my Dr thought it would leave my stomach with lil ripples,so he decided to take some excess skin off.

Good luck. The pain factor was about what I expected. It was manageable with rest and good medication.

Hi again, it's only been one day but I can't get my procedure off my mind. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions of things I need to do to prepare.
Also, I'm used to working out consistently so kind of worried about the break. The dr said I can start light activity such as walking in about a week. Wondering when I'll be back to lifting weights at normal capacity.

I had my fat grafting to the breast done last week (Feb. 11). My bruising is still horrible due to the Lipo and they're is no way I would be able to work out yet. With all the medication, dizziness, and body weakness, I don't see myself working out any time soon. I push myself to walk more everyday, but you will know when your body says it's enough.

I'm only if if work for 4 days and if necessary I will work from home in the 5th day but I have to return to the office after that. Here's hoping all works out! Thank you sharing your experience!

I had a lift & fat transfer done 5 days ago. I also workout daily and was super concerned about that. You will be so exhausted at least the first week, and I am sure going into 2nd. I had a great discussion with nurse about possible hematoma and that pretty much squelched any desire I had to get back to the weight room. Not worth a second surgery! My bruising is there, but I've been using Arnica gel & pellets, helping greatly.
My doctor said no lifting anything over 10 pounds for 4 weeks, and after googling hematomas, I'm convinced. The muscles will come back, rest is worth it!
My best advice is to prep healthy foods in advance, stock up on water and rest. Best wishes to you!

I can't wait!!! I can't even focus because I'm so anxious to just do it. I keep looking at myself in the mirror wondering what I will look like after the procedure. I'm super excited but I think more than being excited I'm nervous and the not knowing is driving me bananas ????
Can't wait to post my post pics and future progress pics.
