The signs of aging in my face began to bother me...
The signs of aging in my face began to bother me many years ago, specifically in the jowl and neck area. I consulted with several facial plastic surgeons before deciding upon Dr. Keith Marcus. My surgery was 4 weeks ago and aside from minor stiffness (which diminishes every day) I feel completely recovered and have resumed my normal activities. The comments from family and friends are what I had hoped for. I look rested, refreshed, slimmer. I am thrilled with the results.
Selecting Dr. Marcus to perform my lower face surgery was the culmination of many years of research in personal interviews with facial plastic surgeons, references from physicians and friends, and internet research. I was very patient because it is such a big step and I wanted to get this absolutely right. When I met Dr. Marcus I knew I had found the right doctor. He is open, engaging, patient in answering all my questions and addressing my concerns and I felt confident and sate, but what impressed me the most was his communication to me regarding realistic expectations. I viewed many photos, and upon request his office supplied me with several references, women in my general age group who had had the same surgery. I met with two of them, questioned them at length about the experience and came away not only liking what I saw visually, but also validating my decision that I had found the perfect surgeon for me.
I believe it takes an excellent eye and an artist's touch to achieve results which enhance and lift the natural features. Dr. Marcus's painstaking attention to detail which addresses the underlying support structure of the skin rather than just lifting and stretching the surface skin is critical to a better, longer result. I appreciate that he educated me by explaining all of this. I also was grateful for his pre and post operative 'tutorial' which informed me of what to expect in terms of patient care day by day post surgery.
The experience was wonderful, exciting, with minimal discomfort, the results marvelous. The surgery has given me back years, not only physically but emotionally as well. I have a new outlook on life. My after care appointments have been wonderful as Dr. Marcus addresses my questions with patience and with humor!! I never feel rushed, and I now have a lifetime commitment to my overall health. I will always be grateful to Dr. Marcus and his beautiful, supportive staff for their part in giving me back a youthfulness and vigor which I have not felt in years!!!
