How to achieve maximum results
WORTH IT$500
One thing I want to clarify is that I've had CO2 laser done before in the past with very little results (at the dermatologist). I'm not sure if the CO2 machine was better at Cloud 9 Medi Spa or what(!) because I had a lighter co2 setting and saw better results. I think a huge factor played into my recovery regiem and that's why I'm sharing with you what I did. Our bodies really utilize the nutrients we give it while it is healing. Remember the saying "you are what you eat"? Well, if you eat fast food during this healing period, you're not going to receive as good of results as you would if you ate nutrient rich fruits and vegetables. So during this time, about 7-10 days after procedure, I eat EXTRA healthy. Because during a co2 laser your skin is resurfaced and needs to literally regenerate/regrow new skin, I provided it with the peptides/protein that will assist. I searched Amazon "protein powder" and found a simple Orgain brand. I'd mix the 2 scoops with a banana, spinach, frozen berries, OJ and water for breakfast. Id drink this and make scrambled eggs. THEN, I think this made a HUGE difference, I'd mix collagen powder with vitamin C in a glass of water and drink that in the morning. I searched collagen powder on Amazon and purchased the least expensive one for greatest amount of powder. Also, I already had a box of the Emergen-c packets at home (the ones you buy when you start to feel sick.) I mix a full packet with a full scoop of collagen. I think this REALLY helped my collagen to regenerate and fill in my acne scars. Another REALLY helpful thing was my Red LED light mask. Red LED signals your skin to generate more collagen. I had tried neutrogenas anti-Aging light mask you can find at target but found it to be expensive and cumbersome because you have to buy a new one after 30 uses. I searched eBay for red LED light masks and purchased one for ~$80 I think, for one that plugs into the wall. As opposed to a $30 battery operated one every month that only has 30 uses. I'd wear my red LED light mask every day while I was recovering, for 30 min. I still *try to use it every day but most days I'm just too lazy. I find that when I use it religiously, even after 1 week my skin is glowing, supple and hydrated. I still carry out my collagen powder with vitamin C regiem every morning and I think that really keeps my skin looking good. Also I take a daily multi vitamin and a biotin tablet in dissolvable form. My hair and nails grow out of control with the biotin! Search Amazon for the dissolvable tablet, they work better than the normal capsules. I also just purchased hyaluronic acid with MSM capsules that haven't yet been delivered. I'll update if I notice any difference in my skin. I hope this helps, don't hesitate to message me with any questions!

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) microneedle and PRP injections for acne restoration
I had another successful treatment at Cloud 9 Medi Spa in Redlands, CA. I'm telling you guys, it's a hidden gem. I considered an expensive acne clinic because I saw amazing results in the before/after pictures, but I'm creating my own amazing before/after pictures without a CareCredit loan!
Now let's talk price for the PRP microneedle treatment. I believe it was $1,200. The regular PRP microneedle treatment is $750, but I had the leftover PRP injected into my deeper acne scar areas, this is commonly referred to as the "Vampire facelift."
I was numbed up with numbing cream so I didn't really experience any pain, except a little more sensitivity on my forehead. The nurse drew my blood, placed it in the centrifuge, and voila! Liquid gold! After she microneedled with the PRP, my face felt tight, like the PRP was already tightening my skin! Weird I know, but I'm just sharing my experience. Then she injected my deeper acne scars with PRP. It's filled in my scars immediately but only because the PRP needed time to be utilized by my skin. Typically PRP injection results aren't immediate because they're not a filler, but rather signal your own skin stimulate collage and generate new tissue to fill in the area, which takes at least a month. I was red for a few hours after treatment and then pink for 2-ish days. Not long at all! This treatment was so easy and I'm pleased with my results.

How much time did you give yourself to heal from the CO2
Hi, I gave myself 7-10 days. The first time I had CO2 laser was on the middle/moderate setting, my skin took about 10 days to fully peel and recover before I could wear makeup. The second time, which is this review, my skin healed in about 5 days, I received the lighter setting of CO2 treatment.
And when did you do the PRP treatment? Right after the CO2 treatment
I did it about 2 months after co2 laser
You are beautiful! Congratulations on your improvement. Your skin looks great!
Thank you!! It's exciting!! My skin is not where I want it to be yet but it has come a long way. I am contemplating which procedure to have done next, I liked both the CO2 laser AND the microneedle with PRP injections at my scar sites. I saw on your page that you are getting ready to have CO2 done? I've had CO2 done twice, the first time I didnt see much of an improvement, but the second time I did, as evident by my before/after pics. Read my updated post of how I maximized my results, I really think that drinking collagen powder every morning made a big difference in my recovery time and results. I also saw a post of a girl who used silicone scar sheets from amazon, I want to try that next and will update!!
Thank so much for sharing your experience. It's so helpful to learn from others who are on a similar journey to improve their skin.
Hi, is this something that needs to be kept up in order for results to stay or does the treatment stay permanent?
Hi jasmine, no my experience it’s permanent. SInce the skin is being resurfaced and new skin is growing, it signals your body to regenerate new skin.

I have been on a journey to restore my skin from...
I have been on a journey to restore my skin from the damage left by adolescent acne. While I still experience a few breakouts during my menstrual cycle, it is nothing compared to my teenage years. I've tried everything from creams, face washes, ointments, microdermabrasion... You name it.
I did my research and found a local medi spa that specializes in acne scar treatment (among their prestigious Botox & fillers recognition). The CO2 laser here done by Kim RN was much less expensive than the dermatologist I visited last year ($1,700 from a groupon deal). This is the CO2 laser on the lightest setting before I try the more aggressive CO2 setting. I am very pleased with the results. I hope this post will help anyone else with pitted acne scars considering this treatment. If you live in Southern California, I HIGHLY recommend Kim RN at Cloud 9 Medi Spa in Redlands, CA.
My fellow acne scar sufferers, I've found the Holy Grail of Medi spas.

Hello, how much did the treatment end up costing? Thanks!
Hi,
$500 at Cloud 9, but $1,700 at the dermatologist

Thank you for sharing your photos and story, it gives me hope!
Yes!! One esthetician I used to get facials from told me there was nothing I could do about my scars unless I got fillers. I knew that wasn't true and decided to look into restoring my skin once my acne calmed down! Everyone's skin responds differently though. I swear by drinking vitamin C powder and collagen powder in my water while my skin is healing from a procedure!
You look amazing! What was the downtime? Were you able to resume normal activities right away? I had the C02 smartxide done before and couldn’t go out for 7 days :(
Thank you!!! I'm very happy with the results but not where I want to be yet. Down time was about 5 days. I mix vitamin C powder and collagen powder in my water when I have skin procedures done, I feel like it helps me heal faster. I just had the Vampire Facial done and she injected the PRP into some of my deeper scars. I recommend the vampire facial, WAY less down time! You don't peel like with co2 laser and My skin was normal after the 3rd day.
I will update with some results from the Vampire Facial/ vampire face lift this week!!!
Just saw your before and after photos from your Vampire Facial...I definitely see a difference! I have done the Vampire Facial as well, but I personally didn't get the results from needling as I've gotten from lasers. I've done so many things--microneedling, dermapen, vampire facial with prp, co2, fraxel, and fillers. I've had so many of each treatment--I've honestly lost count of how many I've done. The first Co2 laser I did messed up the texture of my skin. I did that 7 years ago. Although, I did get beautiful results from the deka dot c02 I did last spring as well as the follow up fraxel I just did in November. This process of being somewhat satisfied with improvement, but never fully, has been a roller coaster of a journey. I find that if I don't continue, I will have no life purpose to keep me going. I'm happy you've gotten great results from adding supplements during your healing time---I do take multi-vitamins daily as well. I'm going to take your advice on being more strict with my nutrition regimen and see how it goes! Thank you for sharing your journey~
Hi Pretty Owl, dont give up! I thought that I would have to life with scarred skin for the rest of my life. Yes!! Nutrition is SO important especially when healing. Also, have you read my other comment on Red LED light therapy? Medial offices are using it as a treatment and charging upwards of $100 PER TREATMENT, and all it is is a red LED light, no different from the bulbs our kitchen lights use except they're red! You can find these on ebay or amazon for about $30. Google the beauty benefits/anti-aging benefits of using a red LED light, don't just take my word for it but I swear by it! I cross-check amazon and ebay because sometimes ebay is less expensive for certain things. Also, if you still deal with breakouts I recommend Obagi Clenziderm Pore Therapy toner. ITS AMAZING. It gives my skin a refreshed glow but is on the more expensive side so I don't buy it often and I usually find it on ebay for around $30. I think my next post will be the skin products I use. I am having my next vampire PRP treatment in 2 weeks, I will update then. Perhaps I will even post a video during the procedure.
you look fantastic! there is hope after all :) please keep us posted on this! Also, did you get a fractional laser? ablative or non-ablative?
If at all possible, may you please update us with some results from the Vampire Facial that you had done?
Hi, thanks for asking. I just posted my results under this post. Hope that helps!
