It's About Time!! 23 Year Old Silicone Under Muscle Implants Are Coming OUT!! - Red Bluff and Redding, CA

It's been two months since my explantation and I...

WORTH IT$6,800
It's been two months since my explantation and I am thrilled to have that in my past!!! I am very happy with my decision to remove my implants and even though the first week or so was uncomfortable I had a very easy recovery. I am posting pics so you can see the two months difference. My surgeon said that my lift would not look that great at first, that they would need to settle and it could take serveral months. He also said that he might need to clean up the incisions below my breasts because at the time of surgery with explant, removal of capsules and lift--it can get a little hard to make a clean look. There is no charge for anything that he does at this point with my breasts but there is NO way I am doing anything!! I am SO done with healing and I am just going to be happy with with I have now. At this point, I am kind of wondering why I paid the extra money to have the lift. My one wish with the lift was to get it so that my nipples wouldn't be pointing down. From what you will see in the pics--they still do! I have to be patient with the settling but right now? Eh. Don't get me wrong--I am happy with the overall look and my nipples healed beautifully!!! I have more feeling in them then I did the 23 years I had the implants but the girls are still looking down at my feet ;) Time will tell, I am just moving forward and not obsessing on this minute part of my body! I look great in bras and feel great. I am even training to run a 10K in April with my 25 year old daughter. I would have never done this before because I felt so bogged down by my implants. I am excited to train and get in amazing shape--these past couple of months have been a free pass to just relax and heal. I am doing my pilates on the reformer. I started after a month post-op but mainly did lower body, after a few weeks I added upper body and abs but went very light. We had about a 10 day holiday but yesterday I was back at it!! There were still a few positions I went lighter on but all in all I feel healed. Speaking of feeling--if I feel my breasts my right breast feels all soft and sweet but my left has a tightness where the lift is underneath--I have been massaging that with bio oil. Hopefully that too will go away--I just want to feel natural again. As far as training for 10 K-- I am doing an app that is called couch to 10K which starts you off slow and helps keep you from getting burned out or injured. I am wearing double support bras to keep my new girls from feeling too much bouncing--so far so good!! My original bra size was a 36 big D and now I am a 34 or 36 C. It will also be interesting to see what happens when I lose the 10 lbs that I hope to lose with the training!! EEK! Oh well, it's not about the boobs for me anyway anymore and I feel great--whole!! Thanks for all the support in the past few months I couldn't of done it without this site and ALL you fabulous ladies!!!!!

Hi NorCal, thanks for the update - you look fab!!! You'll continue to get even better as time goes by I'm sure. I'm progressing with my explant and lift - 15 weeks PO now. I still have very visible scars but I'm hoping that massaging the oil with help them along. So glad you're pleased and feeling so lively! I feel 20 years younger. Wishing you all the best with your healing, Lou :)
You look wonderful--beautiful and REAL!! Congratulations on the recovery, and best of luck on your 10K! Such an exciting time in our lives--explanted and HAPPY!! XOXO!
So how did things end up settling? Did you end up going back to have him fix this? If you paid for a lift, I would want a lift! I hope your ultimately feeling better in the end. Take care and thank you for sharing your journey.

Two weeks post op and I'm finally feeling somewhat...

Two weeks post op and I'm finally feeling somewhat normal. The pics I've posted I took this AM and the girls seem to be healing nicely. There is a little "tuck" on the bottom of my right breast incision but I am waiting to see if it settles down. My PS said that if it looks messy he can do a little clean-up work on the scar--no biggie and no charge :) Most of my bruising is gone and I have probably more feeling around nipples than I did with the implants. The thick feeling under my breasts from the lift is softening somewhat and again--its only been two weeks so I am not that concerned. I went back to Pilates class on Monday and just did legs(lower body). I don't do mat Pilates, I am on a reformer machine so I think it was easier to not deal with any upper body movements. It felt soooo good to stretch and move!!! I don't go back until next Monday because of the holiday but it was nice to get a little workout in. I have been walking about 1 1/2 miles almost every day. Oh! I tried on the cutest little lace bra my 25 year old daughter sent me--it's made by Ultimately Free People--it's just stretchy lace but a cute cut and somewhat supportive. She bought it at Nordstroms. I will include it when I take photos again but for now I'm in my underwire still and patiently waiting to wear the cute little nothing bras :) I feel SO MUCH less matronly without my implants--it was SO worth it to me!!!

You look really great! And I cannot believe that stomach belongs on a 52 year old! Wow!
Ha! Thanks!! At this point in life I will take ANY compliment!! Happy Thanksgiving!! I'll give thanks to Pilates for my abs ;)
Hello NorCal. Just wondering how you're getting along, haven't heard from you for a while!
Hi Novrelief! I'm doing great!! I agree with you that every day my breasts look different! In the last week my scars below the nips have really faded and look almost completely healed. The jury is out on my lift though--I don't like the way my nipples are looking down (kind of). They were facing South before and I was hoping for more change BUT my PS said they would look funny until they settle. I do love how I look in a bra though! I'm waiting to do my final pics at my 2 month post-op. How are you doing?? I'm with you on the lift--it was alot to get done but it sure is nice to know its ALL over!!! Take care and Happy Holidays!!
I'm finally doing really good! It's been a long 5 weeks but the past week has gotten so much better and comfortable! My vertical scar is fading nicely, like yours. I had an allergic reaction to some gel the ps sold me so the scars around the nips are still somewhat inflamed but coming along. Everything I've read says this whole process takes 6 months to a year, so I guess we're in for more surprises in the coming months! Today I noticed how flat the top of my boobs are - the area that the implants sat under. But, like you, I'm happy with my smaller size and enjoy seeing myself in a small bra instead of the bowling ball cases! :) Have a wonderful Christmas! xo

Just got back from one week post op!!! Woo!!! He took out stitches and put me in a tight underwire!?! Dr Wong thinks I am a 34C but I think I'm swollen--when the girls are all settled I bet I'll be a B cup--fine by me!! AND at 143lbs that makes sense!! If I ever lose that 10 pounds that will change things ;) At this point--whatever :) I still feel pretty weak but I think that's just from anesthesia. I know my breasts still look pretty "Frankenstein-y" but I'm just thrilled its over and done with!! I'm glad I didn't need drains, to me that's just something else that can go wrong. I'm not sure about the underwire bra, I don't remember anyone using one but he said it gives the breasts support and shape. I also can take Advil again and sleep on my side--it's the little things you really miss. I am still taking it easy and if I were to say how much time you need to recuperate I would say two weeks to feel just normal because one week I just feel still pretty weak. It's probably my age too :) this is like a 6 to 8 week process though... I'll post some pics w/new bra and the Frankenstein Girls!!
Once your stitches heal and the swelling goes down-you are going to look absolutely amazing!
Looking good in that black bra!! Looks like you are well on your way back to normal... Congrats!
One week already! For me just two, but feels like more. Can't believe you are in an underwire already. I wore one one day and felt guilty it wasn't the sport bra. I see my PS next Tues. (before turkey day!) and hoping he will give me some guidance about the bra situation. I have been putting clothes and sport bras over my head since drains came out with no problem, at least i don't think so! (no lift surgery). Guess time will tell. Continue to heal. Happy turkey day!
Hiya, our operations are indentical! Explant, capsulectomy and lift after 23 years of implants! I'm also surprised about the underwired bra as I had a Macom post surgey bra which was amazing. It's very supportive and helps to form them into a good shape. There's a pic of it in my review. Happy healing and you look great!
