I went to this highly recommended doctor back in January to discuss having breast augmentation. I left feeling more self conscious and disgusted with myself.
It turned out that my saggy breast were just too saggy and I needed a lift too.
It was very discouraging. Especially after looking at pictures on here. But I went through w it. The pictures are very helpful but it was hard to find pics of someone that didn't have larger breasts.
My journey may help some

I am in a lot of pain. It's bearable but it hurts. I got the full anchor. Which was initially why I didn't want to have it done. I was very nervous. I still am!! Scared to see the outcome tomrw. I will def post more pics. This site was very helpful when I was debating and comparing

Don't let the thought of getting a full anchor lift scare you! If I had to do it all over again, I would've chosen a doctor that went with an anchor for me instead of a lollipop lift. I just had a revision a few months ago after having a lollipop lift back in 2015. To be honest, the reviews and photos that I've seen on RealSelf of ladies that got a lollipop lift - well let's just say I'm not overly fond of the look. I think the ladies that got a full anchor lift have a much better result and a very nicely shaped breast. I think you made the right decision getting a full anchor lift! You're gonna have to give yourself a lot of time to heal and try to be patient. It's hard, but you'll be fine. This forum has been great and you will get lots of support from all the ladies here :-) keep us posted! We're here if you need us! :)

I had a full anchor with 285cc silicone about 4 and half weeks ago. The pain goes away quickly and the scars are already improving. Seeing people's results who switched surgeons to avoid a lift because of the scars have poor, saggy results and often get the lift later. My surgeon was honest with me, did I want the best result or a temporary mediocre fix? He wouldn't do it without the anchor lift even though others would have. You will be pleased! I highly recommend mepiform silicone sheets for the scar. I wear them for 7 days continuously even in the shower! I bought them on Amazon and cut them to size. I did purchase embrace with was $600 and it's garbage! Hard to apply and can't be cut to size. Save a bunch of money and buy mepiform I believe I buy the 10" long sheets and I cut them into strip so soft and flexible! Best of luck!

Thank you. All of that was very helpful. How soon do you start putting the silicone sheets on?
They haven't told me what I need to purchase yet.
Did you use any ointment?
March 22, 2017
At two weeks I was able to start using silicone scar sheets. I now use the mepiform sheets only and no ointment as I wear them continuously for 6-7 days then change them. I will use biocorneum or scarless md when I don't wear the sheeting continuously(around 10 weeks post op) I am an RN and have been in the wound care field for almost 10 years. The first 2 months it's best to use the sheets as often as possible based on the studies I have read as well as my personal results. The creams do not flatten the scars as well in my opinion unless you are massaging and applying many times a day which people seek to do for a few days and then just either forget or don't have the time. I'm sure this is the reason the sheets yield better results, you don't have to really be complaint as many can be worn for several days.

Since you are a RN and work in wound care, can you explain why I can't put ice on my swollen breasts and nipples??? My poor nipples feel like they are going to pop off.
