Not Recommended for Revision Rhinoplasty

I went to Dr. Robinson about 9 years ago for a revision rhinoplasty after a previous surgeon had left my nose overly upturned and unnatural. Dr. Robinson did manage to correct the rotation issue but unfortunately made my nose too long and narrow for my face and the grafts he placed (rib cartilage and goretex material) have created unnatural contours. (As soon as the splint was removed I burst into tears knowing immediately this new nose didn’t fit my face at all). The goretex created a horizontal ridge midway across the bridge of my nose and the rib cartilage was placed along one side to lengthen, extending to the tip, which has left the unsupported side at the top somewhat sunken in and asymmetrical. I went back to his office once to discuss the problems and found his bedside manner lacking. He proceeded to inject a little filler into the problematic areas and sent me on my way. Over the years, I have had filler added but it never seems to last more than a month or two and only makes the nose appear larger, not really more symmetrical. Although revision rhinoplasty is especially costly, I have been looking into yet another revision to correct these problems. Also, perhaps the software has improved, but at the time of my initial consultation, he only showed me how my new profile would look, not forward facing, and that was truly unfortunate as that is where most of my problems lie. Maybe having a better idea of how he intended my nose to look from all angles would have saved me from having a poor results. Overall, I would say he may be a good surgeon for less complicated cases (as many of his before and afters illustrate) but he failed to deliver to my case.
