Hi everyone!! I am a 33 y/o mother of two. I currently have size 32A very sad and droopy empty breasts, with an inverted nipple. I call them my 'empty raison sacks.' I had my first child at 19 years old and my breasts went all the way up to D's while breastfeeding, only to go back to barely an A cup. I've dreamt about having nice full breasts since I was a teenager and I'm FINALLY going to do something about it!! My husband is super supportive and loves me unconditionally, and he understands that I want to do this for MYSELF, for my own confidence. I'm nervous about the pain and recovery, since I was only able to take 6 days off of work (I do ultrasounds on high-risk pregnancies ????). Im not nervous about the appearance post op, because honestly, anything is better than what I have now ????.
I went with a surgeon that is an hour and half from me, because he had tons of positive feedback from his patients. He's like an artist when it comes to breast augmentation!! He feels my inverted nipple will pop out with the pressure of the implant behind it. (It popped out both times I was pregnant and had larger breasts). My preop appointment is in 2 DAYS!!! I'm so excited!! I purchased two compression bras from Brilliant Contours for my recovery. I'm also seriously considering purchasing Exparel from my doc, which is a local analgesic that will control pain for up to 72 hours. If anyone knows anything about this medication, let me know please!!!
Feel free to say hello to me or ask me any questions!! Any words of encouragement would also be greatly appreciated ????

Thx! We decided on Mentor textured 275 to 325 ccs. He will try different temporary sizers during surgery to make sure I get the look I want and that it's proportional to my 5'0, 96 lb frame. Excited but not looking forward to recovery.

Had my pre-op appointment this morning!! I signed all of my consents, went over all of the medications, blood work, and side effects etc etc! We tried on the implants one more time and I decided to go up to 365cc's! I had to wait two hours for the doc to come in the room , he was tied up in the OR. So I had plenty of time to check out his look-book of before and afters, and to prance around with my implant bra!! Two more weeks to go!

Good luck! It's exciting & scary at the same time (scary because of the recovery and pain). I've started a to do list to make sure I'm prepared for the recovery phase and also because I will forget things if I don't make a list. :)

That's a great idea Taz!! I started cleaning like a crazy person today. To be prepared lol!!! I'm so excited. The time is going by so slow!

Hey girl! I was reading over your profile and noticed your going to the same PS as me. What are the odds of that? Lol anyways I also got Brilliant Contour bras and love them. I'm curious if you ever decided to go with the Exparel or not? I've also been on the fence abt getting it. My surgery date is March 21 and I've been freaking out! 24 days and counting lol

Well hi LittleReds!!! So nice to meet you! Is Steph your surgical coordinator? I love her. She's awesome. I'm driving about a little over an hour to see Dr. Reedy, just because he seems to be the best! I'm nervous about the car ride the next day for the post op follow up, but I'm sure I'll be nice and tranquilized that day lol. I did purchase the Exparel. I posted a question about it for the docs on here and so many of them replied that it is recommended. My preop appointment was on Thursday, so I'm all paid up and ready to go big!! I feel like this is a dream come true!!

How exciting!!! It's coming up soon!! My BA is march 27th and it can't come soon enough!!!!
February 25, 2017
Yay!! This is the longest wait ever I feel like. Almost as bad as waiting to deliver a baby hahah
February 26, 2017
I just had my BA on 2/21 and have the same bra. 100% worth the cost. It is the most comfortable bra to wear all day/ night long.
Good luck with everything!
February 26, 2017
Aww thanks so much!! I can't get over how soft the bra is!! How are you feeling?
March 4, 2017
Sorry for the late reply, I'm in the middle of moving and its been a little crazy lol I also live about an hour away from Dr. Reedys office which is nuts. I just moved to Glenmore from Coatesville so I'm trying to learn these new roads. Anyways I actually have Tammy as my surgical coordinator and she has been such a sweet heart, even with my nutty questions. I think I am going to get the Exparel, I just really dont want to spend the extra 300 for it. But I was only able to get four days off from work so I feel like it will be my best bet. Were you able to get a good bit of time off for work? I really cant believe this is actually going to happen! I've thought about this since I was a little girl with ant mounds (As my mom would call them) Best of luck with your surgery!!! Less then a week now!! That's so exciting
March 19, 2017
Hi lady!! I'm so sorry I never responded!!! I'm the worst!! Haha!! How ARE you?! Definitely get the Exparel. I think it worked really well for me. A few more days now!!!! You must be excited!! I took 6 days off work. Everything's been great except I had a minor allergic reaction to one of the meds a few days ago but it's seemed to clear up now that I'm done with everything! I'm back to work and I'm doing great! Sometimes I get exhausted and cry because I'm frustrated and overwhelmed by the changes. But that is NORMAL! Most of the time I'm super happy and I feel patient and am enjoying the slow process of watching and feeling them settle and change. I'm hoping by the time it EVER gets warm, I'll be ready to show off a little bit of my cleavage here and there! Or wear a dress with no bra! Me?!? I can't even believe it either!!! I hope the weather is better by your surgery date. My post op day there was snow and it sucked getting there and was a little scary and it's been so cold and snowy since then, and I'd love to have sat outside and recovered a little bit, or at least walked outside a bit. You should start a review on here!! Even if you don't want to post pics. People are really helpful on here :)

hey! have you been able to wear your brilliant contours bra? i got mine in a small but i gotta send it back because i need an extra small :(. so i havent gotten to feel the support yet lol. also my ps told me to wait a week before i stop wearing my orig surgical bra
March 13, 2017
Hi! My brilliant contour bra isn't as tight as my compression bra :( AND it's an extra small!! My PS said to stick with my surgical bra he gave me, which is soooo tight and scratchy!!! It makes my ribs feel sore! Oh well. I want them to settle where they need to settle. Boo.

March 19, 2017
omg i thought i was the only one! i orig ordered a small and the band was too loose so i exchanged it for an extra small and it drove me crazy today when i wore it to work it rubbed against my incisions an everything... talk about noo snugness no compression.. nothing. i was in so much pain. i was rushing home to put my surgical bra back on! what bra did you get from your ps?? i got the "Marena Surgical Bra with 2" Elastic Band" and i looove it. its a small and it fits perfect and pushes the top of my implants down as well. and it has little ruffles at the top so it doesnt look bad under a shirt. waaay cheaper than the brilliant contours annd its more comfy. i will be buying another one of my surgical bra just so i can have 2
March 19, 2017
Haha I didn't have a clue what kind it was!!! I just woke up with it on after surgery!! Lol!! It's a First Choice 'postsurgical mammary compression dressing' number 518. And it's not fancy hahahaha!! It looks ridiculous under everything. Big creases across the middle that come to a weird point and big fat Velcro pads on the shoulders!!! You can see it under EVERYTHING. Good thing I wear scrubs to work and a lab coat. Because it would be really hard for me to hide it in regular clothes. It's growing on me feeling-wise. It's very comforting to have the tightness and security of it. Do you know what I mean? That cracks me up about your bra from Brilliant Contours!!! We did the exact same thing!! Haha!
March 26, 2017
So I've given up on my surgical bra. It's chafing my skin and it's too tight. So now I'm wearing be Brilliant Contours bras again!! I couldn't go any longer in that horrible bra.
