Much better!!!!
$400
I have been applying Organic Apple Cidar to the affected area over night as well as eating a vegan diet which includes drinking lemon water in the morning. I also have been taking multi vitamins, large dose vitamin C, "hair, skin, and nails" vitamins, and Chinese herbs. I have also been receiving lymphatic massages. My face is doing much better and I consider my self blessed that it wasn't much worse. I am moving on with my life and I learned my lesson. Positive affirmations also go a long way!

I had Juvederm injections in my nasolabial folds...
I had Juvederm injections in my nasolabial folds in the past with very positive results. My doctor moved out of area so after 1 1/2 yr it was time to get filled again and another doctor did my procedure. He had a sale on Radiesse and said it was even better than Juvederm, so I tried it. BIG MISTAKE, as you can see in my pictures, a SEVERE rash and swelling developed on the same day (on left side of my nose and cheek, initially it was also inside my mouth on one side and also inside my nose) and I am still fighting it. I was treated with high dose antiviral and antibiotic all with no results. I guess that's what I get for being so vein. Painful, traumatic experience.

Amazing, I have been using this for last year and a half and had no problems. We're u allergic to it?

October 19, 2014
That is not an allergic reaction. The injection was not done properly and a vessel was occluded. I also think a lymph node was occluded as well. I have found several stories here about the same experience, I just wish I would have seen them before I opted for Radiesse. I had Juvederm in the past with another doctor and no complications.

I must be honest I have no hope as my symptoms only getting worse . After it happened for me I went for consult as I was frightened what's happening to my face and I saw very caring dr who was honest and told me it may take long time and etc etc ... But I thank him so much for being honest . Having all this and not knowing what's happening has completely destroyed me and I don't believe I will ever be able to recover from the emotional distress :( please take good care of your health . I stoped asking for help :(

No, you just went to a poor injector. It is extremely important that the doctor injects properly. One wrong move and you could look disfigured. I've used Radiesse on my marionette lines and folds around the nose and look fantastic. Or you could be allergic. There's always a first time for everything. Maybe you are allergic to the ingredients in Radiesse. Looks that way.

Sorry adding another comment.....
Before I had ANY KIND OF INJECTIONS, I did lots of research here in the Birmingham, MI area. First and foremost I wanted a plastic surgeon to do my injections. The problem comes when you have all these girls out there that work for spas doing filler injections, and they are not doctors. In my opinion, a doctor should be injecting these fillers, not these girls that go to beauty school and think they're plastic surgeons!!!!

I am so sorry this happened to you. This is a rare complication from fillers called filler necrosis. It is caused either from filler material compressing blood vessels or from fillers getting directly into the blood vessels and blocking the blood supply to the skin and surrounding area. In the future, you should go to someone who is very experienced in filler injections, as this is typically due to improper technique or frank bad luck. At this point laser treatments can be used to improve the look , but will take many treatments. I suggest going to someone who is a laser expert like myself, as I see these types of complications often from other physicians and help people feel much better about themselves with treatments. Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you dr Jason Emer for offering care and hope . We have been destroyed with emotional pain of having our face ruined and dealing with physical pain . Again . Thank you very much for your genuine care towards us .

Thank you for your advice Dr. Emer. I have an appointment to see a dermatologist on November 10, 2014. I have been exfoliating my face and using a glycolic peel as well as cellular C serum. I also take vitamin C supplements and other vitamins & herbs.
Thank you again for your professional opinion and treatment options.

You dont know me of course, but I love what I do and its mainly because I love helping others. I care so much about my patients and their results and id never want to hurt someone. i have seen, treated, and felt horrible for patients this has happened to. I lecture all over the country on proper technique and treatment of complications, so that others know what to do if something had happened. with that said, there are options to make this look better and you should seek an expert if you want improvement. again, i am so sorry this happened. i wish you the best.

topicals creams will not help this unfortunately, this needs very precise laser treatments. i would avoid glycolic as it is inflammatory and can make your pigmentation worse. I suggest only seeing an expert in this field and not just any dermatologist. specifically one who is fellowship trained in cosmetic procedures and lasers like i am. Best, Dr. Emer.

Dr Emer . God bless you . What a wonderful feeling to see true genuinely caring dr is giving me a hope while hopeless there may be help for us affected physically and emotionally traumatized by improper injection of fillers that has ruined our faces our health our life's our hopes . Thank you

Thank you Dr. Emer. I may schedule an appointment in about 30 days to visit you in L.A. I keep getting one or two blister-looking/pimples with the radiesse inside so I do not know how long to wait for the laser treatments... In other words, would the laser stop the filler from surfacing on my face like that as well as taking care of the scarring?

October 31, 2014
I would have to take a look obviously and give my expert opinion and see what is the best treatment option for you. Laser would likely treat all the issues if done right, you may need a few small surgical procedures to remove the radiesse. I will do my best to give you the best choices for treatment -- i treat all my patients like family so I will not lead you in the wrong direction.
