35 Years Old, 2 Kids, Getting Sientra Textured Anatomical Implants + Fat Transfer - Raleigh, NC

UPDATED FROM BBsBA

Almost 8 months post-op. Everything is great except - THEY ROTATE!

So apparently I have tissue that doesn't adhere to the implants very well, because so far on two different occasions one of the implants has rotated after a rigorous workout. I'm attaching a photo. Waiting to see if this continues before deciding whether to replace them with round implants. I do love the natural shape of the anatomical implants. Afraid to mess up a good thing! The implants return to normal after a few days, so that's good. Feels tight and weird while it's rotated. Looks strange, with the smaller upper pole facing down and medial and the more bulbous bottom pole pointed toward my armpit. Fingers crossed they will stay put from now on. Apparently this is quite rare.

I came across your reviews as I've been recommended for the anatomicals as well. I was wondering if your implant is still rotating or if they finally adhered to your tissue. I hope you are still happy with them!

Hello! I’m so sorry I haven’t been checking messages and even though this one is three years old I wanted to reply. My implant kept rotating and eventually was just stuck in the upside down position! I ended up having a revision surgery with round implants. I am happy with those now and would highly recommend NOT using anatomical. The round look just as natural if not more so.

Yesterday I took my last Vicodin at 4am. I realized that the instructions had been to take it every 3-4 hours as needed, and I was waiting 6 hours between doses with no pain, so decided to try life without it. Turns out I don't even need Tylenol any more. Also finished up my antibiotics yesterday and look forward to the tummy getting back to normal. Felt very swollen yesterday, but woke up this morning and the weird layer of jelly/drainage that had been covering my torso was gone. Breasts feel huge! I mean, I like them, they look good, but they are much more obvious than I had hoped. Seems that this is normal as they are still swollen and will likely go down a size. I am a high school teacher and see the same students year after year, so I'm nervous about what my students (and colleagues) will think when they see me in 10 days. What do y'all think - will they shrink a bit by then? Or at least not look so . . . wide?

My husband, however, is thrilled with the new rack. I told him he had to leave me alone until Saturday (tomorrow), and then we would reevaluate how much touching I can handle. The breasts are numb from nipples to incisions, and they are quite solid. Feels like they have "dropped" a bit, but they're still far apart and anchored firmly to my chest. They feel engorged, like I need to feed a baby immediately! But they don't hurt at all.

Fat graft sites are ugly bruised, but not painful. Still can't tell if there is a noticeable difference from the fat removal. Frankly, I feel like my whole body looks thinner now by comparison.

Mine are still hard. I wonder when they will start to soften. I had mine on the twelfth and still relying on pain meds.

How are you feeling now? Are they starting to soften? Mine are still really firm.

I am four weeks now with anatomical gummy bears and I'm getting softer all the time. The top and sides of mine softened first and now the bottom is getting softer. Better each day ! It will happen

I have noticed that mine aren't nearly as obvious in clothes and I don't think in my teacher clothes most people would notice

So far I've not really noticed anyone noticing, except one colleague who looked me up and down and said, "you're lookin good! Looks like you had a reeeeal nice summer!"

I just found your posts. Hope you are getting better every day. You are probably busy with school starting but I would love to hear an update. I have had a consult with Dr Law and I'm considering a mommie makeover. I would be driving about 2 hrs to go to his office. His web site convinced me too. He really seems to have the heart of a teacher...explains everything. How do you feel about him now? Are you happy with his skill? Bedside manner?
September 2, 2015
Hi! Yes, I'm very happy with Dr Law. My results are really beautiful and natural looking, which was a concern since I had so little breast tissue. My scars are placed perfectly - right at the crease. Seems like most people have their scars a little higher up on the breast, but these are well hidden. The recovery has been easy and I feel like the breasts have looked good and really natural from day one. There was never a period of them being super high. I feel very confident in his skill and he has always been kind and a consummate professional. Any concerns I have had are just related to having implants in general, nothing to do with his skill as a surgeon. I would say, if you're sure about doing the surgery and all the risks it entails, he is the best guy to go to. I also drove over 2 hours to the surgery. It's a little annoying at follow ups, but they work with you to reduce the number of appointments you need. Totally worth the drive to have peace of mind. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi there, I would love to hear a recent update with pics. You have the exact implants I want and I'm considering Dr. Law. How many times did you have to go back for your follow up? Trying to figure out how long I would be in town for. I would be traveling from California. Thanks!

I am so sorry. I somehow didn't see this comment. I'm sure you have made a decision by now, but I will answer your questions anyway. I have a bit of a drive, so I try to reduce the number of in-person visits. I went back at about 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, and at six months I did a phone appointment. They will work with you. I'd stay in town for maybe a week after the surgery. They like to do a one week checkup, and after a week you'll be okay to travel. I'll try to post an updated pic.

you could have one muscle tighter ?
August 12, 2015
Could be. I have a chest wall "deformity". One side of my chest is flatter toward the front and the other side is flatter more to the side. So one breast projects forward (right) and the other is more to the side (left).

Don't stress , give yourself time to heal and I'm sure you will be happy with the results. The first week is also very emotional on top of the discomfort.

Good advice, thanks girl :-)
