Just months away from my 40th Birthday and I have finally got up the courage to take care of myself after delivering 5 kids including twins. I have trusted Dr Davis & staff for my mommy makeover which includes full TT, liposuction of flanks & hips along with inner thighs. At the same time I will be replacing 17 year old saline implants with smaller silicone ones and getting a full lift. I am excited and nervous all at the same time but feel confident that I am in the right hands for this procedure. Unfortunately no amount of diet and excersize has been able to fix the body that 5 kids and twins have created. I had gained 90 lbs with the twins, who were delivered at 38 weeks (I measured 4 ft around) and they weighed 6'7 & 6'11. Having only a 5'3 frame means my tummy muscles were stretched beyond belief and have never gone back down. So here I am 6 days until surgery looking forward to the next chapter this body has in store. Bring it on...

The last week has been trying. I obviously addressed several concerns during my surgery but to say the recovery was tough would be an under statement. Day 1 after surgery continued to feel nauseous and threw up several times. This has happened after a surgery once before so I wasn't surprised by it just made things more miserable not being able to keep my pain meds or anti nausea meds down. Day 2 worst of all continued to be naseaus and hurt every where I had skin. It didn't seem the meds helped at all though I know they did. Each day has got progressively better but different body parts begin to hurt like my back. I've always had back issues, but not being able to stand straight or lay straight has created a massive amount of tension and pain all over my back. Par for the course I am sure, just didn't need any help in the pain department. First post opp visit is in 2 days and I am really anxious to see what Dr Davis says about my progress. No matter how I am feeling my tummy sure does look great already, as do my boobies. No pain no gain
