I'm 54, and knew I would eventually need a lower Facelift. I began noticing my neck with loose skin when I looked down, and had also inherited my mom's jowls. So it was time!
After tummy tuck surgery in January, decided to continue with the revamp and here I am!
The lip lift surgery was something that is often overlooked when considering facial surgery, however it does wonders in making one look more youthful; fuller lips also enhances one's beauty.

Day of surgery, before the swelling started
When I got home, my fiancé was instructed to replace a hand towel dipped in ice water around my head, every 30 minutes, check that nothing was oozing out of the wounds, and bleed both drains. I know he loves me, because of how patient and attentive he is!
Later in the evening, my vision blurred significantly. It turns out I had developed a bubble thing in my right eye, and so sent the doctor the photo. He responded immediately saying that 80% of eyelid surgery patients get it, and called it conjunctival edema, a swelling on the eyeball itself. He just said not to rub it, and eye drops I was getting next day would take care of it, and not to worry.
I really appreciated my doctors responsiveness which did wonders to alleviate any concerns.
By the way, I have seen the best results Immediately following surgery on day 0, as the swelling only gets progressively worse the days following.

Post Op, Day 1
I had an appointment at 8:30 am day after surgery, to have drains removed and first check up. The drains coming out was a non-event, I barely felt anything. The doctor said I looked just 'Beautiful', and things were normal and healing well.
I was given a compression band to wear over my jaw, chin and ears for a week. Also was prescribed eye drops which I needed to apply 4 times a day.
The swelling had begun on day one, but nothing like days 2 and 3!
