I've always had a fuller face, but after high school & gaining some weight in college, I developed a prominent double chin. I had a pretty active lifestyle, & my work was physically demanding, so although my weight may have fluctuated by 15-20 pounds over the years, this chin would not go away, even after losing a substantial amount of weight. I avoided pictures, even though I was content with how my body looked in a photo, all I could see was that double chin that seemed to be even more prominent when I smiled. After having a baby in 2013, I realized I was in very few photos with her, always the one behind the camera, & that made me sad. And it was because of the chin. I remembered reading something about Bristol Palin's "jaw correction" surgery & that's when I leared there was a specific procedure for the removal of a double chin, submental liposuction. I even learned a double chin can be hereditary, not just weight related & it dawned on me my mom & her mother both had noticeable double chins even though they were petitie. I researched, read reviews, studied before & after pictures & met with two plastic surgeons. I was shocked to find the cost was so low, & it was such a simple, painless procedure for such BIG results! I'm one month post-op & the only regret I have is that I didn't do this 10 years ago. I've been in more pictures in the last month than I have in the last couple of years. I healed in just a few short days, with some minimal bruising & swelling. No one even noticed I'd had a procedure but thought I'd just lost weight! This has been SO worth it. I actually had to search to find a "before" picture because I usually deleted them, my after picture was taken today, 10-8-2014. I will see my official before & after pics at my last post-op appointment in December, & I'll update again

Dr. Davis was AMAZING. He was the second doctor I consulted with, the first seemed too casual, like it was no big deal & did not put my mind at ease that I was a good candidate & this would be successful for me. Dr. Davis listened to my reasons why I wanted this, then did an exam to determine I was a good candidate. He explained how the procedure was performed & showed me before/after pics of other patients. I booked an appointment immediately. The staff was wonderful also, the women in the office treated me like I was a good friend, so sweet & helpful. They were all very considerate & took the time to get to know me & address any concerns. I will most definitely be back for a "mommy makeover" when we are done having kids!
