I am 58 years old and had my first BA in 1977 with silicone implants. I was 32A and became a 32C. Replaced them in 2001 due to rupture and contracture in right breast. MD advised me to put 400cc gel implants in due to space left by removal of scar tissue. Became 34D. Now implants are both contracted and after much thought have decided to remove them for good! I am happy that I am getting them removed but so afraid of what they will look like! On the other hand I feel natural smaller breast ALWAYS look better than overinflated, hard, deformed ones..lol. I'll post before and after pics as surgery date approaches. Thank you to all the ladies that posted pictures. It was very helpful to get a good idea of what post op will look like.

Hi Everyone.....pre op day approaching the 10th so hopefully will have pics to share at that time. Surgery stilled scheduled for the 27th. Excited and nervous because I'm having abdominal liposuction at the same time!

You will do great! The explant surgery was a piece of cake for me. But not so much the ab lipo. Tomorrow will be two weeks since my surgery and I've only just begun to have less pain from the lipo - it is not for sissies, lol! That being said, it is very manageable and I'm sooooo glad I did it and you will be too! Just take it very easy for a couple of weeks. Good luck! Xoxo

Hi pboone--you will be so happy and relieved once you get those hard implants out. As you're seeing from the many stories here, it's a choice of putting our health first. I am fortunate that I have a bit more breast tissue now than when I got the implants in 1987. So, I think I will end up an A cup instead of an AA or AAA which I was prior. I'm sure you'll find a ton of support from all the amazing women on this site!
