I gave up.
$9,000
Ok so I decided to give up and try again later after my new insurance kicks in. I called my insurance company and they said it was pending and will take 30 days to review. I will be starting my new job before then. So regardless if they approve it I cant not take the time off for surgery nor will I have the same insurance. So I will have to wait redo the process all over again with new new job. Thank you everyone to prayed and wished me luck. Now I pray new insurance approve me quickly when I submit documents.

????
Well contacted my insurance company and they said they just got the documents 2-13-19. And it takes 2 weeks for them to review it. So I'm not sure if I can get surgery on time even if they do approve it. Since I start a new job mid March I cant take off. So here is to a miracle.

One year update
Ok it has been one year since I started this review. I was denied approval for surgery due to my weight. I ended up losing the 10 pounds and my breast didn't change. So as of late my back has been given me so much pain I had to call out of work for a few days. I was upset at this point. I needed for my surgery to be done asap. I went back to my PS and did another consultation. I told him I am back to resubmit for approval. We went over my weight how much I lost and took some more pictures. I showed him my medication for back pain as well. He said this time I should get approved with no issue. He submitted my paperwork 2/8/19. My only issue is I need the surgery done by the end of this month. I start a new job mid March. And I will have to wait til next year to even think about using my new insurance. So here is to a miracle. My hopes are very very low to this working out for me. Because out of pocket is not an option for me nor is credit/loan.

I have BCBS as well and have just been approved today! It only took 6 days for me to hear back and I’m scheduled 4 weeks from today. If you are trying to get it done by Feb 31st it may be impossible depending on your surgeons schedule. Usually once a patient is notified about an approval the surgery is scheduled within 2-4 weeks. You may get a hear back this month but honestly may not actually have the surgery until earlier March. Good luck!

Hey dejvdvpe, congratulations on your approval. And yes I know it's an near impossible wish. I talked to my PS and he knows my request. He said he its possible if they get the approval in time. But if not I will just have to accept what happens.

I sure hope you get approved for your surgery!!!! I tried to get my surgery about a year ago and the insurance company gave me hell. They said I needed to lose weight as well. First they said I needed to lose 20 lbs and I did. Then I came back and they said because of my height, I needed to be at least 135 lbs to qualify for the surgery. My PS and I told them to go to hell because it was impossible for me to lose that much weight. I’ve lost so much weight and my breast seem like they’re getting bigger....
