I didn't take or post any pictures (I should have because the improvement is major) but I'm now two weeks out from having a circumareolar mastopexy performed by Dr. Michael Law in Raleigh, NC. My breasts before the surgery looked semi-tuberous/ski-slopey. They were wide-spaced and my areolas were quite large for the size of my breasts (34b/32c). I didn't want implants because I'm 23 and didn't want to have to worry about replacing them with a second (or multiple) surgeries down the road. I also like to stay active and didn't want implants to stop me from any strenuous activities for too long.
I scheduled consultations with three doctors in the Raleigh/Durham area and went with Dr. Law because the consult was VERY thorough. I told him what I wanted (smaller areolas and less pointy breasts), he told me what he would recommend and then drew on what incisions would be made and what would be moved where. When I came in saying I didn't want implants, he did not try to talk me into them which I appreciated.
After choosing to go through with the surgery, I was walked through the pre-op prep and aftercare -- everything was very, very thorough and clear. The day of surgery went smoothly and the pain was not bad at all. I was in bed for two days and then was back in business (being careful of course).
Now, at two weeks out, I still have glue around some of the incisions circling my areolas but the parts uncovered by glue are mostly healed. I still have some soreness and there is slight pleating where the skin was gathered together around the new areola shape but other than that no issues. In love with the new shape and size of my areolas and how they look on my breasts. I'm so so happy I went with Dr. Law and had this procedure done. I can't wait for them to be fully healed!
