I have been grappling with this decision since realizing puberty skipped me by with nothing to show for. After having each of my children, I filled to a 34 DD and breastfed both times. Each time I dropped back down in size, so did my breast leaving me now with somewhat saggy small 32B breasts.
After much consideration and some much needed cheerleading and motivation from my BF, the decision was made to get a BA. Looking through photos has been exhausting as there are so many different reviews and perspectives.

your plastic surgeon should recommend what is best for you. you could be looking at photos all day but not much point unless your plastic surgeon can actual fit the implant in your chest. once you have had consultation and know what size implant the surgeon can do you can look up pics of those size implants

I've already had a consult and am looking at either a 485cc or 520cc implant. I'm most torn between placement. My surgeon said the he doesn't think there would be any noticeable difference between the two options (over or under the muscle), but I'm still researching to see what everyone else's experiences are.

I have to have mine under as I don't have enough breast tissue for overs. Recovery with overs is supposed to be a lost less painful and quicker but less chance of ripples and capsular contracture with overs also easier to read mammograms best of luck with it

First off, you look awesome! So do your current boobs. They may not be large but they are still perky and not saggy at all. What are your stats: Ht, Wt, BWD? Those measurements will help to predict what size will work for you. It also depends on the PS that you choose. Some are very open to whatever you desire, and some are more conservative when it comes fo sizes. I had a little more breast tissue than you pre BA, I think (check out my review), and my PS said that I could definitely go over. In the end, I chose to go under and my PS agreed. Lower risk of capsular contracture, rippling, bottoming out, sagging, etc.. And recovery wise, I know everyone is different, but for me it was almost too easy. I expected to be immobile and in excruciating pain, but pain was very tolerable, mostly discomfort, and I had full range of motion with my arms (albeit slowly). So if it were me, I’d go under for those reasons. I was out and about all day by day 4!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Funny enough my bf saved your story for me to look at based on your awesome results! So I will definitely check out your profile. My Ps is def minutely in the conservative side and leans towards natural results. Now that I know the size I want I am going to consult on the placement once more at the pre-op. I'm so excited and nervous about all of this and it's literally right around the corner. Eeekk!
April 24, 2018
Aww, your bf did research for your BA? That’s big brownie point in my book :). Yes, make sure you write down all your questions that you want answered at preop. Ask him if he had to choose, which would work best for you? Also are you going with high or moderate profile? Size is pretty much determined by your measurements and anatomy. But you are perfect candidate for BA based on your preop pics. I can’t wait to follow your progress and very excited for you!

Yes, he is awesome and has been involved in this process as I can get overwhelmed with all of the facets and decisions! I've made a list of question, but am starting to feel like the Dr is giving the same consistent answers and throws them back to me and my preference. I'm not sure about profile as that was not discussed. i will need to discuss that with him at preop as well.

Yeah, he's seriously awesome! :)

Hahahaha this is a first! You will be officially rewarded the title after the surgery and how well you pamper her! ^.* @TheRealDawnE123 - yes some doctors are hesitant to make a decision for you bc of liability. They don’t want you to come back and say it’s their fault. Same thing happen to me but I requested that my PS make a recommendation for me to get me closest to my wish boobs! In the end he did and I trusted him. As far as profile, you usually choose a size first, then profile follows bc it’s dictated by your BWD. Most people go with high profile or moderate plus. I think high profile would look great on you. If you decide to go very large, you might have to go with Ultra High Profile (narrower base but more projection). I have 455 UHP so you can use that as a reference. Also post questions on here and get other doctors’ opinions. Don’t forget to include pics. I have found them to be very helpful.

Awesome feedback! Yes, his plan is to take good care of me during post op! He does deserve the title. I appreciate all of your information. I have asked questions on here and it seems to be the same answers. I think I'll take your advice and explain to my PS my full desired result which is my vectra and hold confidence that he can make it happen. I've had the opportunity to see quite a few pics of his work and they are spot on. I do trust him and know he's being cautious.

So I had my consultation and love the doctor. I was hoping he'd give me more guidance on size and placement but I can understand why he's cautious to do so. My bf went with me and has been super awesome through this whole process! The Vectra images turned out awesome and I want the end result to look just like the images lol! While we've settled on a size, preop and surgery date, we are both still struggling with placement! I like the thought of a less invasive surgery and quicker hearing time. My doctor seems pretty confident that the aesthetics will be the same regardless, but I am a bit worried!
Any advice ladies?!
Preop is set for May 1st and surgery is May 16th!! Eeekkk!!

What size and profile are you going for? I agree the images look spectacular! Ask your PS about long term results and complications with both placements. If he guarantees both will give the same results, then the questions are about longevity of those results and complications. Write down pros and cons of each and hopefully that will help with your decision. Good luck!

Oh darn forgot to post my stats! I will create a new post for them.

April, so far I'm considering either 485cc or 520cc gel implants, either would be smooth round. Thanks so much for the feedback!
