Update: I really regret getting Qwo

I officially really regret getting Qwo. Not only did it only have MINIMAL results (mainly just reducing the depth of one very deep dimple and all of the other areas of cellulite remain unchanged but with bruising stains) but it changed the shape of my butt for the worse! This has upset me the most. Where I had the most Qwo injections I now have a flattened area. The profile of my butt is no longer a dome. It looks like a dome with a flat dent in the middle. It is really upsetting because I previously had a round butt (that I loved the shape of) with cellulite (that I hated) and now I have a misshapen butt that I hate the shape of and I still have all the same cellulite. It’s really upsetting. They suggested I try Emsculpt to try to correct the problem Qwo created and so I hope that helps (otherwise that will be another $1200 down the drain). I am 3 treatments in with 1 to go….

It took me awhile to give this update bc I’ve been upset about the results. My 3rd treatment was 5 months ago and I still have some “staining” from the bruises. They are less noticeable now but definitely still there. It looks like I have multiple bruises in various places all over back of thighs. And most importantly, I don’t see improvements in cellulite except for one very deep dimple that was on one butt cheek. That one simple is now much less deep. But you can’t even see that simple when I wear a bathing suit bc of the placement. The cellulite I was most self conscious about around the side of my butt and on upper thoughts look no different. And to add insult to injury, I lost volume in my glutes. They look saggier now. I’m so sad I wasted the money and got my hopes up. I’m hoping the bruise stains will go away by summer.

I was looking for places that offered Qwo in Minnesota and found that Harrington + Associates did, so I immediately emailed to find out more information. The first thing that I REALLY appreciated (and that is a noticeable difference from most other places) is that the person that replied to my email was extremely transparent about the pricing. Most places are cagey and want you to come in before they even quote you on a price and I hate that. So that was the first thing I liked. They scheduled me for a consultation but built in time so that if I was a candidate, I could get my first session of Qwo at that appointment (that was also a major plus). I have to say that I am very insecure about my cellulite, so the thought of having someone examine every dimple and circle it with a marker before the procedure made me very nervous. But Saebra, Dr. Harrington's nurse who met with me and did the procedure, put me at ease immediately. I loved how she explained the procedure, made sure I had realistic expectations about results and understood side effects like bruising, and she totally put me at ease and I didn't feel insecure or embarrassed at all. Even though this is a really new procedure, she seemed like a pro. She understand which dimples would be good candidates for an injection spot, she provided clear and helpful after-care instructions, and the procedure itself was quick and painless. I also loved how she was passionate about the science behind it. I look forward to seeing my results after my 2nd and 3rd session.
