4 Week Post Procedure
Well today is my 4th week since the lipo and belly button repair. I have been trying to get around to updating everything but life and work has been delaying. I am going to post pics and update with the procedure soon. But know all is well thank GOD!.
5 Day Countdown
5 days to until my belly button revision and liposuction. YAY!
Surgery date and time is Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 10:30 am. I will be getting 3 areas liposuctioned. My love handles that came from them dang steroids (UGH), my upper and lower abs. Then, my belly button revision (Umbilical Scar Revision). I am very happy I will still have my circular belly button because sometimes it must be done as a triangle. I know someone who has one and they don’t like it. I will not be under anesthesia. She said it would look like a smily face...lol I was going to have them put a divider from breast down so I would not see but decided not to. Dr. Hix wants to be able to see my facial expressions and plus think it would be interesting. I can not wait to share THAT experience.
I received and email today that my lab work came back good and just waiting on my doctor to give clearance. All my meds are called in and ready for pickup. Cephalexin 14 caps, Gabapentin 1 cap, Lorazepam 3 tab, Acetaminophen - Codeine 20 tab.
I will keep everyone updated on my progress and post pictures for sure. Almost there!

Pre-Op Visit for Belly Button Revision and Liposuction
Forgot to post this yesterday.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 8/24/22) was my Pre-op visit. Dr. Hix said my tummy tuck scar looks great and I look good. They provided a folder with the information for surgery, which was preparing for surgery information, supplies for recovery, day of procedure instructions, medication instructions, surgical wound care, 31-day vitamin bubble pack, and wash for night before surgery. Some of the instructions were the same as for my tummy tuck. (Example shower with antibacterial soap provided.) I signed consent forms, did lab work, got blood pressure taken, and measured for my garment. My blood pressure had to be taken several times before it was good.
I will have 3 follow up appointments:
• 1 day phone follow-up with the nurse to discuss port op instructions.
• 1 -2 week follow-up with nurse or medial assistant for Z wave massage and ensure all surgical sites are healing properly.
• 4 - 6 weeks for before and after pictures.
Supplies for recovery:
• Absorbent pads/feminine pads (I have not bought them since December 2011…lol), dry gauze, first aid tape
• Old towels or absorbent bed pads
• Plastic tablecloth/trash bags for the bed
• Water, Gatorade, Pedialyte, juices
• Soups, jello, crackers
Medications:
• Doxycycline, Bactrim, or Cephalexin (antibiotic)
• Lorazepam (sedative)
• Gabapentin (I am and have already been on them for my back)
• Celebrex
• Extra Strength Tylenol
• After Surgery Tylenol 3 or pain medication
31 Day Vitamin Bubble pack (5 pills daily)
• Adult Multivitamin
• Super B Complex
• Selenium
• Collagen
• Vitamin C
Heck need these everyday period if you ask me….lol
