I was told by the NHS doctors that having a septo-rhinoplasty will improve my breathing and could fix my deviated septum, I was hesitant but I stupidly had faith that all doctors are good and trustworthy. I first saw Mr Chatrath he was lovey and reassuring and said all I needed was to fix my deviated septum, unfortunately he left the hospital and I was now made to see Mr Eweiss. I was naive and thought he must be as good as he was now in charge of the ENT department in Queens hospital, he suggested lifting my droopy tip I was hesitant as I didn't want my nostrils on show but he kept reassuring me they wouldn't be. On the day of the surgery I even showed pictures on what I didn't want as I was scared I was going to look like miss piggy, I kept reminding him please don't change the shape he said ok ok didn't seem bothered to to be honest he just looked tired. So the surgery went ahead I was made to stay at the hospital for three days as no one in the ENT department came to discharge me as they thought I'd already left. I went home and after a few days of taking the antibiotics I realised I had a severe allergic reaction, I went to my GP as I couldn't get through to Mr Eweiss. I had been told on the day of surgery I will be coming back to the hospital to have my cast removed date and time had been set. When I got to the hospital they said I didn't have an appointment I had to wait over two hours to be seen and when he did take the cast of my nose was very swollen and ugly tbh but Mr Eweiss was happy and said I have a straight nose now. A follow up appointment was made 2 months later, I didn't leave my house at all for those two months as I looked like miss piggy and the my nostrils were huge and he cut too much skin on the right side of nostril so you could see everything inside from profile view. I raised my concerns to him and all he said was I need to see a therapist, he didn't apologise or try to see where I was coming from. He said girls like me would never be happy. I was appalled my heart broke as i trusted him so much and for him to say that my nose was perfect when clearly it wasn't was shocking. When I made a complaint against him the NHS wrote back saying he done a good job my breathing had improved but it hasn't I even said to mr Eweiss it hasn't improved it actually feels worse but he didn't care. They make you sign a waiver saying the nose may not look perfect or be as you expected so they get off the hook if anything goes wrong. I'm truly upset as I was so naive in to thinking all doctors must do a good job but after 6 months of not leaving my house and suffering from frequent panic attacks I'm telling everyone I know never to get a facial procedure done by the NHS, they don't care about patients at all
