Stitches removed today

Had my stitches removed on May 30th. Would have preferred them removed earlier but I guess 5-7 days is the recommended length for sutures on the face. The only reason I wanted them removed sooner was because I had 20 units of botox injected in the glabellar region a week prior to the punch excision. My personal opinion is that botox decreases the length of time you would need the sutures in because of the decrease in tension to the face. There does not seem to be a significant effect on the scar appearance.

The punch-excision area is healing. I wish the MD had used a larger punch excision tool than 4mm. I notice “train tracks” scarring due to the sutures. I wonder if this could have been prevented if the sutures had been removed earlier.
