Thrilled with Ptosis Repair Results
I highly recommend Dr. Sabrina and trust her completely! The results from my ptosis repair are perfect. Dr. Sabrina and her team were a pleasure to work with throughout the process.
I had unlitareal acquired ptosis of about 2.5mm. I did research for about a year and had consultations with two surgeons. I traveled from Germany to see Dr. Sabrina, which was well worth it. She told me she could perform a MMCR to correct my ptosis, with a 5% chance of over/under-correction. Because of her great reviews, professional reputation, and warm, thorough communication style, I decided to go with her.
The surgery took place at a small, calm hospital. It was performed with local anesthesia only and took about ten minutes, during which I felt some tugging but no pain. Dr. Sabrina was encouraging and kind throughout the process.
Healing for me took about six weeks. Initially, I was nervous as my eyelid looked too high and there are lots of stories online of people who went to different surgeons and wound up with overcorrections. I shouldn’t have been nervous though; Dr. Sabrina has significant experience and knows how patients heal under her care. She said she never had to re-do a ptosis surgery to lower an overcorrection. She assured me that the muscles needed time to re-balance and that the final result can take a few months to appear. She gave me some eyelid stretching techniques to help the scar tissue relax.
Two weeks after the surgery, the eyelid was still high and Dr. Sabrina offered to release one stitch to help it settle down sooner, which was a very generous offer as she charged nothing for it and could have easily dismissed me at that point. That was a simple, painless procedure in her office. After that, the eyelid relaxed within several days. She said she was confident it would have relaxed by itself with time even without the stitch removed, but I really appreciated her willingness to help me find a solution right away since I was feeling nervous.
Now, eight weeks post-op, my eyelid looks absolutely perfect and I’m so glad I got this done with Dr. Sabrina!
If you’re planning to get ptosis correction, I highly recommend her and her wonderful staff. Ptosis is a tricky and unpredictable surgery even in the best of hands and choosing the right surgeon is crucial. You really see what a surgeon is made of when you present them with a bit of a challenge during the healing process, and they stick by your side! It’s clear that Dr. Sabrina is deeply invested in the outcome of each patient, and her reputation shows it. I’m so grateful to her and her team!
