I mean this in all honesty, I wish I went with a different surgeon. Dr Walrath did sound knowledgeable and confident during my initial consultation with him, but the results of my ptosis surgery are very far from what I expected them to be. I feel like he didn't listen to what I wanted, and I also believe I might have been mislead about what I really needed. I made it clear from the start that my priority was to have my eyes look more symmetrical (I have unilateral ptosis,) and while I didn't expect them to look exactly the same, I did hope he would at least have the expertise and aesthetic vision required to make my asymmetry less apparent. He explained to me that he would perform my ptosis surgery with a little bit of blepharoplasty to compensate for my sagging eyebrow, but my lid looks even smaller now than it did pre op. I am very disappointed with my result and I feel like I wasted my money. I reached out to him for a revision, but upon further personal assessment, I realized how silly it would be to return to the surgeon who didn't listen to my concerns in the first place. I am now left with a keloid in the corner of my eye (after he "assured" me that keloids to not form on eyelids,) and have to go through the surgical process a second time. This unfortunate experience was an eye opener for me, and I have learned my lesson and will be more careful when choosing surgeons in the future. Not worth it.
