Ptosis Surgery - 5 Months Post-Op

$3,000
Hey everyone,
I got ptosis surgery done back in end of December and all seemed fine until I started comparing pictures of a month ago to pictures of this week and I noticed that there hasn't been any change to my ptosis eye. I spoke to my doctor and he said it's possible it can change again, but to wait until December of this year to get a better look into what procedures can be done to fix it, if it's still an issue.
Is it normal for recovery to take longer than this? I've read people say it can take up to 6 months to see the true results, but I don't see how that can change within a month if it hasn't already.
Everywhere I've looked, I've seen other people's success after 2-3 months, so I'd like to know if anyone else has had this recovery process for this long, if not longer.

I think your dr wants you to wait until the 6 month mark to assess a possible correction without any residual swelling and most of the healing being finished. At the 6 month mark, see your dr and then get a second opinion if you feel the need to. I've had something similar happen during my healing process, and although the waiting sucked, I knew it was better to be fully healed than to jump quickly into another possible surgery without giving your eye the proper time it needs to fully heal. Hope this helps! :)
Did you, by any chance, need a second surgery? Or did waiting longer show better results later on?
