PRP second treatment
WORTH IT
I had my PRP second treatment on my face on the 22nd of January. It hurt a little but bearable with the help of numbing cream. There was a fair bit of blood when i was injected. The treatment took about 20 minutes. After the blood was wiped off the injected points had a crust and I could drive home. My face looked a bit puffy. Today on the second day the swelling is all gone but when I press my face it hurts in some places. Nothing serious though. My main aim was to reduce the appearance of my pitted scars. I don't think PRP can reduce the appearance of deep scars. I will have to wait and see if PRP improves my skin condition. From my last experience there wasn't a clearly visible change. I have one more treatment in 6 weeks time. The clinic was trying to sell me a Zo Skin products and 3 peels for another £690 to reduce deep scars. The lady was sure that her treatment will reduce my acne scars. I came home and read about peels and realised that was not true. Dr Dray's you tube clips gave me a good insight into skincare products. That will not resurface my face but maintain my skin. That is the reality. Obagii and Zo Skin products are so expensive. After reading Dr Dray's skincare routine I understand you don't have to spend a fortune to get good skincare products.

What's your final conclusion on prp? Effective or just short term results?

Pictures of my scars 5/12/2018- 2 months after 2 subcisions and 5 days after PRP
rtwskin Tunbridgewells uk, Dr Fatima advised me to try subcision to reduce my scars. I had the first one in July. Second in September. During that time I was using the Obaji routine and Tretinoin too. This clinic is recommended by Saveface. I can't see a huge improvement. Each subcision treatment cost £200. The areas of small pores has improved. But the deep scars and wide ones still remain. Dr Darvin Lim suggested a several treatments together. I will try this after I come back from holiday in January as I should avoid the sun after those treatments. PRP was done by Dr Loannis Lukas 12 days ago at Vie Aesthetics. 3 treatments cost £1100. 12 days after PRP my skin has a very subtle fresh look. I can see the pores have some enlarged pores have reduced and skin looks tight. Difficult to show in photos. Not something very visible. On my left cheek the point where the needle went into to inject the PRP feels hard and there is a bit of pigmentation. With my skin colour I have to be careful with any trauma. I was asked to use the 'Obaji Clear' to suppress the pigmentation. I use Obaji sun cream as it is not oily and does not give me spots. It is not sticky. It is expensive but that is the only one good for my skin. I will carefully watch for any improvement and post a review again.

I am going to have my second PRP treatment on the 22nd of January. I will document my experience.
Excellent, thank you! You can just add an update to your current review— just click "Add an Update" at the top of your review.
Why don’t you try microneedling with Ed and prp. Or even just microneedling with prp. Injecting prp itself is probably not going to help! And the needles need to be deep enough to penetrate...at least 1mm...you can’t get those with a dermaroller, plus dermarollers dangle the skin more than pure microneedling. You can probably do handful of aggressive microneedling with prp sessions for the deeper scars and the smaller ones should go away entirely. If you can get the RF version of the microneedling, even better.
Sorry Ed I meant RF (radio frequency...spellcheck error).

PRP for Scars on my Face
I had acne scars from a young age. ice pick, rolling and many other. I am Asian. I am 58 now. I do not expect to look younger but want to have a smoother face as my acne scars were getting more visible. This was something in my bucket list, To beat my acne scars, since I was a teenager but never had the technology at that time and time to research in detail. After a lot of research, reading I went to a dermatologist who advised me to try subcision. I did 2 subcision procedures. But they did not give a good result. There was scar formation under the skin and pigmentation where the needle went inside my skin to perform the subcision. Yesterday I did the first of the PRP session. The doctor said with 3 PRP sessions every 4-6 weeks and chemical peels my skin will look better. My skin looked very fresh straight after the treatment. It looked full. The doctor said it will not be as plump after a few days as there will be a little bit of swelling due to the procedure and when that goes down the fullness will be less. The skin will start looking better as time goes on. I will upload some photos. Also detailed account of how I felt doing the PRP procedure. This is my first step to my journey.
