PRF for Under Eye Dark Circles and Hollows.

Hi Realself ~. So, I have had dark circles under my eyes for as long as I remember but age has made them worse. I have looked into many different treatment options and have decided on PRF. It's not a common procedure in Arizona and I could not find any specialist with consistent before and after photos, or specialized training in the eye area who treated using PRF. I found Facial Artistry & Aesthetics, Barry Kusman, M.D. He was approachable and knowledgable during our consultation; he has also trained with Dr. Rajani in Portland. (check out Dr. Rajani's youtube videos about PRF ) During my appointment, the staff and front desk were all sensitive, professional, and genuine. The procedure itself was painless. Dr. Kusman explained everything in detail and even called to check up on me after! I really could not have had a better treatment experience. The swelling was noticeable for 3 days but not so bad that I could not return to work.
PRF is not an instant fix and improvements begin to show in a few weeks after the first treatment. I will need another follow-up in 6-8 weeks. After, if the treatment is effective I would need to follow-up once a year.
I am very happy with Facial Artistry & Aesthetics and Dr. Kusmans expertise; I will be going to him for future treatments. After watching my friends and so many videos of folks who get "botched" by chasing Groupon deals and fake Instagram promises I think its better and safer to find 1 specialist for QUALITY botox, fillers, PRP, PRF, general glow-up and prevention, and FA&A is my place.
I'll post some before, directly after, and improvements as the PRF starts to work its magic. ~Fingers crossed ~ for good results!

Thanks for posting pictures. So many reviews don't have them and don't mention the specific treatment. Looks good and so soon after the procedure as well!

7 weeks post PRF for under eye hollows
7 weeks post and I can see an improvement in fine lines and the hollows appear fuller. I feel like there is a slight improvement in the discoloration but nothing dramatic. I am going to have a follow-up treatment and I will post photos 6-8 weeks after.

Hello.. The 2nd treatment helped with color/texture but nothing dramatic. Ill post the results of the 3rd ( recommended ) treatment in early Jan

sorry to say but i don't see a difference... either in terms of volume or colour. this treatment seems to be a gimmick. i also have dark under eyes. filler made them worse - though it flattened out the hollows it has caused severe discolouration that i have had to live with for years. i tried carboxy therapy, it made no difference. I was hopeful about PRP and PRF but have not seen any dramatic results. microfat or nanofat might be an option though the former apparently can have severe complications and the latter is still a surgical procedure and might have no results.

PrF you do not see results immediately. It’s an amazing treatment and you do see phenomenal results over a period of time. It stimulates your natural collegan. I mercifully look after my skin .. and PRF has done wonders.. you notice results after about 4-6 weeks and should have 3 sessions apart ..

Post 2nd Treatment
Subtle improvements in color and texture 6 weeks post the 2nd treatment. Im waiting until early Jan to post the after pic of the 3rd treatment.
I spaced my treatments out over a longer period that what is recommended.
I have continued with micro needling, and light peels. Threads were recommended but I want to wait to see the PRF results before I do more.
Drinking coconut water the day before and day of may have had a positive impact on the quanity of fibrin available.

I found out about coconut water by a happy accident. Before PRF I tried water + electrolytes, alkaline water but coconut watee gave me the best results when I had my blood drawn for the treatment.

Yes, I had all 3 treatments. There were subtle improvements but nothing dramatic... I’m undecided if I think it was “worth it”
