A Lot of Effort for Weak Results

Bright2087
I decided to have PRP injections under my eyes to see if it could be an effective treatment for fine smile lines beginning to form (too low for Botox). My treatment was one month ago, and while I’m due to go back in for a second treatment in about 3 weeks, I’m having second thoughts. First of all, the bruising was significant, and it took—no joke—this entire four weeks for the bruising to fade. For me, this isn’t worth it. If I can’t notice a difference four weeks after the first treatment, I’m very skeptical a second treatment is going to do it for me. Coupled with the bruising, I feel like putting PRP in the too hard basket. Would love to hear other people’s experience? Should I persevere and go for a second?

Did you go? I’ve heard if they add fillers to it it has better results.

make sure you follow pre and post procedure instructions. No blood thinners of any form pharmaceutical or homeopathic. if you do decide to go back try starting arnica montana pellets 5 days before and continue after procedure also get the topical arnica for after care. If you feel you've healed completely in 3 weeks you could go back again. With any of these types of treatments theres ongoing changes. There will be a plateau at some point though, they should help you decide when that is and not just continue taking your money because youre willing to go back in for another round. Hopefully the treatments were done by the Dr themselves or a highly qualified assistant. While Im certain there are spas with personnel that due great work, thats gonna be hit and miss

Thing is if it's not done properly it's not worth it

I think PRP is unproven and you should not put it at the top of a cosmetic list. Botox, filler are two clearly effective products. The others are not. I had prp, boots, filler, Co2, needling. And only the two are my must do's reguraly. And pure Vitamin E cream (cheap, effective)

Physio5651, this is very helpful. Thanks for listing what you’ve done and what you’ve actually found to be effective/worth it. I wish more people would do that!

I would have to agree with everything you said except co2 laser or any ablative non ablative laser is absolutely great for texture, tone and tightening!

Hi I got prp facial with injections and I was told 3 treatments would show best results. I didn't see any improvement till the 2nd month I noticed the wrinkles in my forhead were smoothed out. Idk about my undereyes but I did see a difference in my skin. Maybe try with the microneedling too
