I am a 39 year old woman with 4 children 15,15,13, and 11. I met my husband of 18 years at the gym where I was an aerobic instructor and he a body builder. Body image has always been important. After having twins then 2 more kids in 2 years I never had time to even think of exercising let alone do it. I was a dedicated mom raising my little ones. Once I got my youngest in first grade I headed back to the gym. I lost 30lbs and found my love of teaching again. I now teach up to 7 cycling classes a week along with running, hiking, biking and whatever else I can fit into my schedule.

I am continually embarrassed about my "soft", rolly, tummy and refuse to wear a swimsuit let alone a bikini. I had a breast augmentation in March 2010. That was a huge and scary thing for me, but the best thing I ever did. I feel like a woman again...now I'm hoping the tt will give me that last step of feeling confident again. A day does'nt go by that I don't constantly think of my stomach and often get very depressed over the way I look...especially when working so hard physically to be in the best shape possible. My surgery is scheduled for Feb.8th...I will post before and after pictures soon as I have them. Hello bikini here I come:)!!

I just had a TT with no lipo on Jan. 21st and the recovery isn't bad at all. You'll do and look GREAT!!! Best of luck and don't be nervous. Please post after your procedure so we know how it went.

I just had my TT and breast reduction Jan 19th. So as of today, 4 days post-op. I keep comparing my results to everyone on this site! Isn't that just like a woman. But I have to tell you, recovery is not as bad as I thought it would be and I seem to be recovering faster than I had anticipated. No regrets. Well one regret......that I didn't do this sooner!

I'm going to be keeping track of you! I go for a consultation on January 31st and I'm sure I'll be booking my surgery as soon as possible! :)
Good luck on your journey!

I went in for my consultation and picked the first possible date that fit into my schedule. This is not my first cosmetic surgery but this one, along with my facelift many years ago, meant the world to me. I can't wait to be able to send out the true "after" photo's. Email any of us with questions! That's what we are here for.

I was just like you with exercising and could never get rid of my muffin top. I had a breast augmentation about 2 years ago and loved it and I am now 6 weeks post TT. It is the same feeling that I had after breast. I love it and feel so much better about myself. The recovery wasn't bad at all but I haven't been able to do aerobics yet. I go tomorrow and I hope he releases me.

What is it like at weeks 4-6? Are you pretty close to at least 90%?
I want to schedule this super fast, like within a few weeks of my consultation (if a slot is available, of course), but I have a girls weekend that my best friends and I have been planning for months at the end of March. If it's scheduled as IIIIII would like it scheduled, I'd be between 4 and 6 weeks post op. We are planning walking tours, lots of dinners, and spa treatments almost everday. I'm not a baby about pain (had my kids naturally) either. So tell me what you think, since you're there right now!! :) Your input will be extremely helpful!!

I am at 6 weeks today and know that since my recovery was an easy one and I have even tried exercising it is not a good time to plan a trip with lots of walking spas, etc. It wont be bad but you will swell and you wont be fitting into your cloths yet. I would wait until you get back. that is just my advice.

The girls are all going out tomorrow and I opt to not go as I know im not going to be alot of fun since I feel horrible about not able to wear the nice cloths yet. And my preop cloths just fit, but still not great with a binder on

I have my tt scheduled for April 8th. Nervous, of course. But all of your posts have helped. I have a lot of questions ready for my PS on my presurgery visit. I am glad your are feeling better spin. I have almost cancelled a few times because I am so nervous. I first, want to live through this. Then recover healthy. Then have great results. I will let you know how I am doing after my procedure. I am eating healthy, exercising & trying to think positive.

Im 5 weeks post op today. I feel great, but still alot of swelling and tenderness. I pretty much am back to normal life, but no lifting or working out yet. I do alot of walking just for day to day life, but am going to try to start walking/workout today. Sleep is still uncomfortable, and wearing the garment a MUST! Feels horrible without it. Will I want it forever? When did all of you take yours off...I thought at 6 weeks, but thinking Im not going to want it off. I hate how fat I look in clothes with it on, so want to try and find a panty binder or something. Anyway, thanks again for your support this this process. It was nice to have you there. Hope your all doing well. PS My before and afters are stuck on a flip camcorder...I cant get them to upload as a picture. I am liking what I see though. I'll keep trying.

hi Spin,
im 10 days post op, been reading your posts. Im a pretty steady chick but let me tell you, i was an emotional wreck at 7 days post op! Didn't help that my friends came over to see results and commented things like "was that WORTH it?" and "that dr almost cut you in half!", etc. Cried on my husbands shoulder for an hour. So, just wanted you to know that I think its probably normal to be emotional. With all the meds and undue guilt and stress and pain and cabin fever...it would be tough to feel "yourself". I bet we are gonna be just fine!

So glad to hear good news from you Spin. So, would you do it all over again if you had the choice? I am a bit over 2 months and still feel I need something tight. I dont like the feel of my skin rubbing against my cloths, but it does come off alot more lately.

Im starting to feel that this is the best thing I did.

As bad as it was and as much as I hated my body before, yes I think I would do it again...but not stress so much:)haha

I went to the spanx website and saw a high brief underwear type thing Im thinking of getting. I dont like that this garment goes down my legs. Have you tried any you like?
I know my ps is going to go in and do a little touch up lipo on my abs and flanks...I'll probably have him do a little on my legs too. I'll be excited months from now when my final results are in and I can get the rest of my body back in shape. I feel so soft and jello-ee all over (yuck) Are you working out again? Im nervous cause Im not sure what I'll be up for, but want to get this body moving again. Good to talk to you Gail.

HI girls...miss chatting with you. I still have quite a bit of swelling. I ordered vitamins off the make me heal website and I think something in them is giving me an allergic reaction. Ive been dealing with hives and swollen tingly face, lips etc...when will the madness stop?? Im still wearing my garment and usually have to take a pain pill at the end of the day cause I just cant take it anymore. Im trying to exercise but its kind of a joke. The swelling pulling and pain dont let me get far. So I guess you could say Im pretty down and wanting this whole process to be over. I just want to stop thinking about it and get on with things but not being able to the way Id like. I get so depressed looking at all the flat tummies and beautiful breasts on here. Im actually printing photos to show my ps and ask him why I dont look this way and what can be done. Sorry to complain...I think Im just really depressed and tired of this whole process. I dont think I look one bit different in clothes, noone ever says wow you look good so really the only difference is me not seeing a soft tummy when I undress....its just a hard swollen one. Hope your all better than I:) sorry to be a downer today...lets hope it gets better and fast!!

Hi girls....I finally got brave and uploaded new photos of me 13 weeks post op. Still not what I was hoping for, but would love any feedback on if you think I should have the boobs redone?? I feel like there isnt enough fullness on top. He said I dont need a lift but that a bigger implant would do it. I have 390 cc saline now. Not sure if Im up for pain and down time again?? Would love your thoughts...be honest!

R u kidding. I think your breast are fine just the way they are. Why put yourself through more when you have gone through so much already.

You are blessed to be healthy and have breast that are fine, dont mess around too much.

I would love to have my breast done as they sort of sag, but with a bra on they are fine, which they were bigger since I am just a B. But after the tummy tuck, I am grateful all is well and notplaying games with nataure anymore.

I think you look great.. I wouldn't have them redone or bigger they look very proportionate to your body!

i think your boobs are perfect and very proportional to your side. you look great.
