Throughout my life I have barely been able to fit...

Throughout my life I have barely been able to fit into a size A bra. I never really minded it because I have a very petite body (5'4", 105 pounds), and I was very active. But I always wanted to get a breast augmentation just to be able to fit into swim suits and actually wear a bra. This year I thought I might as well go for it, so I set up a consultation, asked all my questions, and knew that it was definitely something I wanted to do.
I told the doctor that I didn't want attention to be drawn to my chest when I was done. I wasn't looking to be noticed for my chest and wanted it to be as subtle as possible. He did all the measurements to make sure I would have a comfortable fit, and I felt right about choosing 240 cc, which is a very conservative size, but still enough to fit into a bigger bra and add some shape.
I was so nervous going into surgery! I was scared to go under anesthesia, and really scared of how they would turn out. I second-guessed my decision because after all, I love my body and my small breasts were cute and what I was used to. I was nervous to have to get used to a new body shape. But I went through with it and I'm so glad I did.
The procedure was so quick and easy. I was in pre-op for about an hour, the operation took a little less than an hour, and then I was in recovery for about an hour before I was on my way home! When I woke up from anesthesia, the nurse took such good care of me. I was groggy and a little nauseated, but she infused some anti-nausea medication into my IV and I was fine after that. It took me a little while to be fully awake, but after that I was fine! The whole medical team was very helpful and thorough throughout my time in the surgery center, making me feel more confident.
My husband drove me home and I laid in bed with some ice packs and was amazed at how normal I felt. There was strong pressure on my chest, but I expected that. I went right to sleep. When I woke up, I took my first dose of pain killers and ate a peach and a bagel and cream cheese just fine. No nausea. Because of my small frame I decided to take half of each painkiller pill to lessen the chances of constipation, and it worked well. All day I was able to eat normally, and didn't feel sick at all. You need to stick to a good medication regimen, and take the antibiotics on a schedule.
Today is the end of the first day of my augmentation, and overall I feel really good. I've been up walking around my house and eating normally. I periodically place ice packs on the top of my breasts which is very soothing and helpful. There is a considerable amount of and achy pain in my chest, but it's very manageable. Drinking tons of fluids helps, and coconut water has helped to keep the electrolytes and potassium levels balanced in my body.
The best part of all of this is that my boobs are so dang cute! They really turned out to be the perfect size. They are definitely a lot bigger than my original boobs but are still small and sporty. I don't think any of my friends or coworkers will even notice unless I'm wearing a swim suit, which is what I wanted!
Again I am really glad I went through with the procedure. If you are thinking about it, just know that it's really not that scary. Just follow instructions and it will be a great experience.
