I was actually referred to.Dr. Z after a consultation with another highly rated plastic surgeon. That surgeon, admitted, I should be seeing Dr Z for any body work---he was better at it than him.
The rest is history. I have other medical conditions that could have complicated my surgery but Dr. Z was comfortable and confident that together we could manage it all.
I had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. After having a child and gaining much weight in the ensuing years while my son was young, I finally lost 50 lbs.
I was left with deflated breasts and a very flabby stomach.
The surgery changed my life. I had a beautiful flat stomach, a perfect new belly button
(Which, I learned, many other docs have no idea how to re construct the neccesary new bellybutton. Instead those docs leave many with their only remaining option, a belly button tattoo, after their surgery....eeeewww!!!!) and of course, I now have gorgeously shaped, natural looking breasts. I wear a bikini with confidence and I'm 48.
The outpatient procedure was significant but I was sent home as scheduled. I did have a swelling problem and needed to return to the hospital the next day. However, Dr Z met me there and took control immediatly. I was scared until he arrived. Interestingly, the admitting person was with me when he arrived. He talked with me a few minutes then left to get my treatment rolling. The admitting person asked me..."Who was that?"
I was confused by her question, assuming she knew, but answered her by saying..."my doctor"...
She blinked a couple of times and then said "Oh! GOSH, I thought he was your husband, the way he was so caring"
We both laughed.
I healed as planned and all was well. I felt like he and his staff were at my beck and call during my healing..He even provided his cell phone, just in case.
Dr. Z has an amazing bedside manner but most importantly is clinically sound and relevant. He knows the latest techniques and practices them. He is always speaking at conferences and called upon for consults... Remember I was referred to him by one competitors...I mean collegues.
I trust Dr Z....really trust him.
Recently I had another "body complaint." He could provide a surgical solution but instead we made a plan and he made a referral to a different resource for me so I could first try other avenues, before jumping to surgery.
He is an excellent doctor and friend.
