I know my nerve endings are reforming and ligaments are rebuilding so I'm not too worried, but this pinchy feeling I am having along the area between the sternum and nipple is quite annoying. I also started to swell a bit last night too. Kind of like when you PMS. Had to use ice packs for the first time in 2 weeks.
I really need to get my tummy in shape. Its not looking too sexy now that my boobs are these goliath monsters. I really don't want to be one of those women whose boobs are smaller than their stomach. Ew.

Feb. 5, 2012
Today is day 13 for me. I started the Biodermis-EpiDerm last night on the anchor incision as this area is healed over. The areolas are sill not sealed shut so I am keeping the steri-strips on for a while longer. Can't have boobs without nipples.
Swelling is at a minimum and the only real bruising left is on the scar area closest to the areola.
I don't get as tired as quickly as I used to. I need to be careful of this as it makes me think I can do more around the house...and I need to heal not scrub the shower!
When I look at my new boobs, I am super happy! For 20 years, I've had pendulous breasts. This was always a huge self esteem crusher for me whenever I was naked. I hated my breasts. While I loved how the rest of my body looked, I always knew that my breasts weren't youthful and perky. Also, buying bras and lingerie were always a reminder of my saggy boobs. I rarely bought matching sets because the bras were usually demi cup or push up and my breasts would just pop out throughout the day and look like boob muffin top. Utility bras were pretty much my go-to bra. Rarely colorful, usually black, brown or white...BORING.
I don't plan on real bra shopping until I am done with the compression bra cycle. I think that's about 8 weeks...??? Not sure.

Dr. Caroline Plamondon
Pros: Perkier, smaller, more natural-looking breasts
Cons: None so far
Motivation: To have breasts that fit into garments the way they were supposed to. To have less back and neck pain. To feel sexy, once again. To wear a bathing suit without worrying about big floppy boobs falling out the front or sides.
Outcome: So far, I am happy with the size and location of the breasts and nipples. I am only at day 3 post-op. Healing has a ways to go but I am taking vitamins and supplements to aid in healing.
How has it changed my life? I feel very optimistic about buying new bras, nighties, and bathing suit tops. For years (20 years) , my breasts have been a huge de-motivator in my physical fitness. No matter how hard I exercise, my breasts were still floppy and gross. I never felt sexy when I was naked because they were saggy and practically down to my navel. Knowing that when I exercise, my breasts can match the fitness of the rest of my body...this gives me GREAT motivation to stick to my routine and diet going forward.
What I wish I knew before? That my insurance covered this procedure. I've suffered with back pain and neck pain for years not fully realizing my breasts were the cause...and solution to my problem. If you have insurance, at least check to see if they cover it, and what the requirements are.

She was phenomenal throughout the pre-op process. Its only day 3 post op and my first post op appointment is in 3 days. Dr. P is personable and professional. I have already recommended her to several people.
