A couple of years later, I finally have the tighter jawline that I wanted from Profound -- but it took a facelift to get it. :P

I never saw any real improvement in the sagging and jowly face/neck area from Profound. I ended up doing a short scar mid-lift procedure with another local surgeon, Dr. Mustoe, and now I have the improvement I wanted. If I could do it again, I'd save the $4k I spent on Profound and put it towards the expense of a mid-lift -- which is the only procedure imo that would give me noticeable improvement.

Three Months Post Profound RF Update
Chasing BeautyMay 18, 2019
One of the things I was most concerned about after doing the Profound treatment for lower face and neck was that my skin would stay looser and swollen, that it would actually be worse in appearance than before the treatment. I'm happy to report that THAT is not the case. That's a very far cry from having noticeable improvement, but at least my neck is much tighter than the first 1-2 months after treatment. It looks better, in general. Does it look better than before treatment? Can't say it does. It's certainly not a noticeable improvement of any kind. At this point, I wouldn't do it again, wouldn't recommend. I'll keep monitoring and in 3 months, if it's tightened up and I have a nice jawline, I'd be thrilled. I'm posting pics with my chin slightly raised, and then same angle but slightly lowered, to show variance in the appearance from the same angle.

Hmm.. yes I think I do see a subtle lifting to your lower face jawline from your starting pics.. and I to am 3 months out from my procedure Thermitight and I’m thinking I possibly see a slight very slight improvement in my lower face jawline, however my under chin area is non changed at all. I did a quick 3 month update on my review with a pic.. Anywho at least we haven’t encountered any negative effects from our similar procedures thus far.. wishing you continued improvements!

I see an improvement. It's hard to tell how much of an improvement without the before pictures, but it looks pretty good, and it's only going to get better in the next 3 months. Thank you so much for such a candid review. Profound is the new hot thing that everyone is promoting, but no one has any pictures (except for the ones from the maker of the machine) so we all have to rely on each other!

I actually think you have some nice results. Just wondering why you didn't do your whole face? I think regardless your results are very good.

Sorry, I have to agree with those who say they don’t see anything “profound.” For $4000, I’d hope you would see some very impressive results. For myself, I’m still thinking about the co2 laser for a non surgical lift.
I hope it improves for you, but for now, I thank you for showing why this treatment is not worth the $4000.

60 Days Post Profound Procedure
Chasing BeautyApril 18, 2019
I took these on April 15, 2019, so 2 months after my Profound of lower face and neck on February 14. I've noticed some improvement to the area in the past 30 days. It's difficult to say there's any improvement since BEFORE the procedure, but there's definitely minor improvement in the past 30 days. I had noticed after the procedure that I was puffy for the first month, so I think most of what I'm noticing is just that there is no more swelling. It could be the *teeniest* bit more tightened up...? Hard to say. It's certainly not noticeable results yet. Still hoping that is coming, though.
At this point, if I had to do it over again, I'd save the $4k and get a lower facelift. I hope in a few more months that I have a different opinion. We shall see.
***I'm still waiting for my doctor's Before pics so that I can add those to this review, but also I know my body, obviously, I know what I looked like before, and there's no noticeable improvement at this time.

Thanks for your review of this procedure. I've been looking into it as well. I'm currently trying Fractora 'Firm' (radiofrequency) treatment to deal with similar issues and, like you, I can't yet tell if it is helping.

I had a lower lift and eyes done. Don’t get a forehead lift, unless they put it in writing that absolutely no scars are visible. Mine are from over fifteen years ago, and it is almost impossible to cover them up.

Hi dear, how do you like your profound procedure after 2 years?

Hi Virginia, I'm not sure I'm logged in under the right account, but I am the OP of this post. After two years, it's hard to say how I like the Profound treatment of my face/jowls. I had a little bit of lipo done in the area in July '20 and a small chin implant. I like the overall results much better now. It's hard to say what had the most impact. I think the Profound helped some but if I had it to do over again, I would go straight for lipo and implant and skip paying 4k for Profound. Hope this is helpful. I think Profound may be a better option for some, depending on what the cause of sagging is in the area. I am considering a mini face lift in the future.

I share the sentiment save the $$ for a face lift. Skin quality improvement, YES, tightening and lifting NO. And I don't consider myself with heavy jowling at all or laxity to begin with, just minor from typical aging, ZERO improvement with tightening and laxity.
