I decided to try Profound RF after reading reviews and information on the procedure. I’m 54, and I’ve always taken good care of my skin. In the last 2 years I’ve noticed the skin on my lower jowl area is losing its firmness and giving me an angry look. I’ve been saving money for a lower facelift in the next few years, but decided to try Profound RF until I’m 100% sure I want to do it. I had a consultation first, no upsell or hyped promises. I was told straight up I may have zero results. I was told some skin responds great, other skin stays the same. I decided to try it, and hopefully I’ll be one of the lucky ones that gets great results.
I had the Profound RF treatment done on May 24 2019 at Bella Vie by Jasmin. She was extremely careful to not cause any pain during the process. I didn’t feel much pain during the procedure, but I could tell that it could be quite painful without the numbing treatment. I was warned that I would swell and bruise afterward, and they seriously weren’t kidding. I planned this procedure on the first day of 6 days off work. I didn’t think I needed that many days off, but I found out I could have used a few more days out of the public eye. I’m very sore, it feels like someone punched me hard on both sides of my face.
2 weeks- The swelling appears to be finally gone, but I’m about 30% numb on my jawline. I’m still sore, and feel a lot of tightness in the areas treated. I tend to unconsciously clench my teeth, and I’m VERY aware now when I’m doing this. I’m still occasionally taking Aleve for soreness.
3 weeks- Still about 20% numb, I’ve been getting zapping nerve sensations in the treated areas. I still have a weird tight feeling as well. I’m trying to not over-analyze my face now since I was told it would take 6-8 months for results.

Almost 3 months

I've been taking pictures every month, and will eventually post progression pictures. I'm not really seeing any significant changes. I still frequently feel a strange zapping, tingling, and tightness in the treated area. I'm hoping all these weird feelings will eventually end up with improvement.

4 Months Still Not Sure

I thought I would post an update. I'm still holding my opinion of the procedure until the recommended 6 months.I just a few days shy of 4 months since Profound RF. I can't say I see any huge differences in the treated area. I still have skin hanging under my chin, which is motivating me to get a lower facelift. I feel an occasional nerve zapping feeling, but no numbness. I'll post an update in November when I'm supposed to see results.
