A Cautionary Tale

I know they say it "absolutely doesn't" melt facial fat, but this simply is untrue. Look through the photos here. Most people's faces shrank and many have the V shaped face outcome. If the area you want to treat is fatty, it will cause it to sag, if the area is not fatty, it will give you even more wrinkles because of the volume loss. The problem is, once the skin tightening effects are over in 18 months, you will have loose skin on top of melted fat, and you will lose more fat when you do it again to repair the loose skin, and it's an awful cycle toward a skinny saggy face - and ultimately a facelift - so save your money.
I focused the treatment on my crows feet to treat melasma spots and now have dark eye hallows, and even more wrinkles because the skin became loose after the fat was lost (melasma improved slightly). My face is asymmetric, and I have deep smile lines because of fat-loss. I came out looking 10 years older (after 3 months once it took full effect) and had to gain 10 lbs to look myself again. Doctors are either ignoring this phenomenon or they are imperceptive to it. A good doctor will NEVER allow you to take this risk if they understood the side-effects of their procedure. Search Microneedling RF fatloss to see the pending lawsuits and horror stories. Please find another way. I'm now a believer in natural treatments and holistic healing. Having said that, given that it melts fat, people interested in spot-melting body fat may find success in the SubQ (subcutaneous) Profound line?

Genius50211: so sorry this happened. Look into micro-needling to build some collagen. Also, collagen pills/powder/liquid can help too. Best wishes!

I'm so sorry this happened. Maybe you can get filler. ?. There's also the bio-identical filler you can do. I read the Kloe Kardashian did that.

Sorry if my english is not good i hope you will understand it

I’m so sorry to hear about your experience ☹️. I heard in some cases the skin and fat restored itself within a year. Gaining ten pounds did improve my face for the time-being. I hope things go back to normal within a year. If not, I’ll probably look into some kind of filler and PDO thread lifting. I do believe dietary collagen helps a lot as well (though it causes me to retain water). It’s a good alternative to gaining weight. Lastly, you can look into some of the legal action options taking place. I personally wouldn’t, but the manufacturers need to be pressed to list this among the side affects before one agrees to the procedure. Lawsuits motivate them to do that, so hopefully others will be spared. Folks should understand all the risks involved. Good luck, sis.

I’m not sure I understand the pictures. Green is after? To me it looks more full and lifted, especially the cheeks.

Yes, green is after (sorry I guess the after should go on the right). Not sure how it’s coming off in the photo but the cheeks definitely drooped, there are deep smile lines, and jowels, and under eye fat is significantly less, so there is a bluish color under my eyes and it’s hollow. Not sure if you can tell in the photo.

Thanks for your "precautionary tale." Lasers and fat melting do happen. And many Dr.'s in the questions section agree. I don't know how much is provider vs machine. (Is it 50/50? 80/20? Idk?) I had thermage and I did have some spots of fat melting. To be fair, I had areas of improvement too. I'm still not sure if the trade off was worth it? It's a gamble. I hope you don't have further issues. Btw: did you have any benefits?

Hi there. No, it was absolutely not worth it for me because the skin tightening achieved (which I didn’t notice) is temporary while fat loss is permanent and a significant sign of aging. My Malasma improved a little bit but it wasn’t any more improvement than what you would see with regular microneedling.
