Hey all, this is day 1 post op for me!
I've wanted a BA from age 18, so at age 30 I've been soooo lucky to finally be in a position to make this dream a reality, thanks to my wonderful fiancé, who's also looking after me amazingly right now! I'm just so happy and excited.

I had my BA done yesterday by plastic surgeon DR Mahadev with the Harley medical group at first trust hospital Preston, UK.

From start to finish staff were lovely, admitted 10am, obs done, pregnancy test done, changed into a hospital gown and paper knickers. I then relaxed with my fiancé watching TV until they called me down after doing my consent forms at about 11.45-12. I was 2nd on the list. Operation was 45mins- hour. I woke up in my little ensuite room with no pain and no nausea. Amazing!

My BP was on the low side, so the nurse rechecked it several times until it picked up. The standard coffee and toast was given , antibiotics to start on day 2, cocodamol to take 4-6 hourly and Dr Mahdev gave me a compression band to wear for 1 week, to be removed at my post op appointment. The nurse discharged me at about 2.30pm as I was doing absolutely fine and we went on our merry way back to the Ibis hotel were we had booked in for 2 nights in the event of any complications to be near to the first trust hospital , as we live 3 hours away.

When the cocodamol wears off all I feel is chest tightness. I just find myself moving around more slowly just so I'm careful not to stretch or strain. All it feels like is heaviness at the moment , no pain. I feel very lucky.

The most awkward thing was sleeping upright, we got extra pillows and propped myself up at 45 degrees and I slept with one of those aeroplane neck support pillows which really helped. Today we're going to buy a V pillow to see if that helps. I slept from 10pm-1am and then 3am-6am, waking up just to take cocodamol. Not the best sleep but totally worth it! Hopefully sleeping will get better. All in all, positive experience so far. I will post pics of day of surgery results.

I would describe dr Mahadev as warm and friendly, he was able to put me at ease. He had a lovely bedside manner, asking if both me or my fiancé had any questions at all. So far so good at both pre op consultation and day of surgery. He made sure he came in to see me immediately prior to surgery and immediately after, always with a smile on his face. He asked if I was excited, I told him I was nervous so he gave me a hug which I thought was lovely. He also remained professional at all times.

Hiya, I had 350cc subglandular implants on Saturday 30th April with dr mahadev at Preston. We discussed sizing prior to surgery and he said he'd try 350cc and 370cc while I was under and go with what's best as I was originally only 32a with very little tissue. Anyway when I came round from surgery I felt very little pain (perhaps ga was still wearing off) but in the days following I'm extremely sore, no burning pain, but chest feels extremely tight and rock hard like it could rip open, areas where stitches are super sore. Also my compression band makes it even more painful but was told must wear this for first 7 days until check up so am managing to grin and bare it (somehow). I just wondered is it normal to feel this uncomfortable and sore as I'm so scared I've reacted badly to the implants? Also I'm extremely bloated in my belly and swollen round my hips/ribs is this normal too? Thank you xx

Hey there, how you feeling today?I've felt more pain day 1 and 2 than I did the day of surgery! I'm totally with you on the chest tightness and them feeling really hard, but I know this is a normal part of the process so try not worry too much! I've just been keeping on top of the cocodamol and ibuprofen but still feels really tight and need help getting out of bed! I'm bloated too, need to buy something to help me go to the loo today, as still havnt been! I don't reckon you've react we badly becsuse I feel the same, im a bit worried about how tight to have the band and the exact position it should be in??? [RS bleep]

Hiya, I'm the same definitely feel in more pain day one and two than did immediately after op but I put that down to the anaesthetic wearing off perhaps. I'm so bloated and my belly/hips/ribs are all swollen and feel bruised too. I'm hoping that settles soon as its left me really self conscious as had flat tummy before surgery. I'm the same with the band I think the nurse told me it needed to go over the nipples and she helped position it initially but I've found it slips sometimes and it feels like it's squeezing the life out of me when it's over my nipples. On photos it looks like people are wearing them above the nipple area but I could have sworn she told me over them?! I'm keeping on top of pain killers and anti biotics but they don't seem to be doing a deal xx

9 days post op, 400cc, poor posture?

9 days and I'm starting to feel more normal and pain free! Only thing is my posture, I seem to be walking slightly hunched at my shoulders. This is probably because my skin still feels so stretched. Anyone else find themselves doing this?
